Why had she thought she had died, why had the feeling of slight relief filled her when her eyes opened to the dusk filled sky? She did bot understand, or maybe it was because she could not remember. What couldn't she remember? Sensitive eyes looked up and watched the colors shift and darken, tangerine, magenta, indigo. They bled and drained as if the life was being taken from them, a funny sentiment if she had found anything but fear in her heart.

Her breathing sped up as the fear over took her once more, her heart hammering like a caged bird as her eyes widened. Why was she feeling this way, why was he suddenly shaking as fear soaked into her skin like a quick downpour of rain? She gasped for breath as she closed her eyes, screwing them shut as her ears fell as well.

All there was, was fear
sometimes, dead is better

Even if the man's hairs stood on guard, Vengeance was rather unfazed by the odd flat lands. They were barren of anything of interest, and so he was slowly making his way out of here - onto a different, perhaps newer land that would be rich with activity... rich with food. However there was something he did like about this place. It was quiet.

A good place to come if one wanted to be alone. He would keep this place in mind. The haunted atmosphere would keep most away. It would also make a great battleground. To let the dead rest in haunted grounds sounds almost perfect. There would be no need to bury them, just let them decay in a mount of flesh over time.

Speaking of mounds of flesh. A bright spot caught his eye in these desolate lands. A small white lump of flesh, wriggling around as it seemed to be panicked. Taking in a long breath through his nose, Vengeance could smell the sweet aroma of a female eminating from that direction... It was something to investigate.

As he came near, he stood and watched for a moment. His fur bristled further; it all made sense now. His pelt didn't bristle with fear of these baren lands, but with excitement as her fears bore into him. Her shudder made him shiver with anticipation. Her fear made her prey to the larger beast. Now he had to decide what to do with this... the options were endless.
