All Welcome
Parvati was gone, which didn't bother Anansi nearly as much as it should have. His connection to his birth mother was complicated. She had always been there for he and his twin siblings when they needed warmth or sustenance, and yet, she had never truly been present. They'd never shared any intimate moments and he couldn't recall any specific memories of her. He missed her in the same way all children missed their mothers when they were gone, but soon she would be forgotten.

Without her there, Wolfskull felt large and foreboding. It was his home and was where he would always look first for his family, but it made him shiver to be there alone. Anansi avoided it, gravitating more toward the territory's center, and in so doing, found his way to Blackfeather Woods' true whelping grounds.

He very nearly fell over the lip of the cliff, so suddenly did it seem to materialize in front of him. After getting over the shock of his near miss, Anansi spent a great deal of time following the edge, trying to get a good look at what was below, and eventually this led him to the steep slope that led down into the glen. It was slow going and he nearly lost his footing half a dozen times, but eventually Anansi stepped down from the vine-littered hill and found his paws on flat ground. His pale blue eyes were wide with awe as he looked around the heavily wooded glen, gaze landing at last on wall of water spilling down from the creek overhead.
