All Welcome
@Sionnach hi ily

after having proven his worth to his father and helping to patrol the borders, aengus thought that it was a perfectly reasonable thing to rub in the face of his stinky little sister. so, the young bull ventured into the glade to find her. he did what he could to follow her scent. it was familiar enough to him by then that he found it easy enough to pick her out of the other aromas that filled the air. they’d come across plenty of strangers who were meant to be family, but aengus didn’t trust them – he didn’t know them.

strolling leisurely, the young boy sniffed at a few twigs or bugs. he wasn’t in a huge hurry to find her, but he did wonder what it was that she got up to when no one was watching. aengus couldn’t imagine that she did anything too exciting. he was obviously the most adventurous of the pups, right?

“sia!!!” aengus called to his sister, hoping that she might actually listen to him this once.

coming back from the high that was assisting her daddy (and clearly being his favorite), sionnach practically sauntered as she came up to aengus. her muzzle was fixed in an expression of indolent smugness, a mean glint in her gaze that suggested she was either very pleased with something bad she had done, or was about to do something terrible.

smirling in that self-assured way, sionnach's plucky tail waved and for a moment it looked like their reunion would be sweet... but then she darted for one of aengus' chubby ears in a surprisingly quick lunge that suggested she had been planning this all along..

it didn’t take very long for aengus to find his stinky sister. she seemed to slink toward him like that stupid villain from dora the explorer. she even had the same smug expression on her face. aengus wasn’t about to play into her games – not yet, at least. before he had time to react, though, sionnach had lunged for his ear and sunk her sharp teeth into the tender folds of it. the young bull snorted in response and reared his head back and away from the red-faced piranha.

“hey! watch it, lumpy,” he growled to her with a sour expression. “what crawled in your butthole?” aengus then asked her, still scowling as though she’d torn the only good ear he’d ever had right off his head. the young frostfur wasn’t sure that he’d ever seen his sister actually be kind to someone else. she was definitely the rotten apple.

well, that didn't go as expected. sionnach thought the young bull could be tormented into play, but instead he seemed positively sullen.. kind of like a wet blanket deal, ruining all her attempts at play fun police style.

she pulled away with a scowl - what, no retort? no swinging fist or harsh click of teeth? well, that was disappointing. she sat on her round haunches and regarded aengus with a flinty, measured stare. "whoa, slow down nelly -- who took the meat from your cache?" sionnach teased, muscles tensed in case aengus did decide to retaliate.

oh, now the stinky little spud wanted him to pump his brakes or something like he was the one who was out of control. aengus looked at her with an accusatory glint in his gaze. she wanted to know who’d stolen the meat from his cache, but the joke was on her! he didn’t have a cache, and if he did… it would have been a secret one away from her. she would have likely spoiled the whole thing. all he had wanted to do was rub his border patrol in her face and here she was biting his damn ears like she owned him.

“you just bite me! you don’t even say hi first… why are you so rude?” the bull of a child growled to her. just once, aengus wanted to get the upper hand on being a brat. it seemed like it was sionnach’s default setting, so he wasn’t sure that he’d ever really get that opportunity. still, he hoped that one day he could take her by surprise.

aengus' mood was worse than curdled milk. no, it was like popping the last egg in your omelet and finding out it was rotten and having to throw out the whole damn thing. sionnach withdrew, positively repulsed by his surliness. damn, he was living up to the frostfur of his name today.

she gave the boy an equally squinty gaze, half-mockingly.. but sionnach could take a hint - especially when it was presented so overwhelmingly obviously. giving the bull the space he needed, sionnach gave a little huff of impatience but didn't attempt a second siege on his little ears.
