Open to @Sobek @Sakhmet and @Anansi if they wanna make cameos, and the others who have been tagged. If you would like to reply here please message me first.

The cavern has become her new home, at least while her babies are still too small enough to cower at her breast, and while Parvati wishes she could take in the precious and fleeting moments of her children'sย firstsย (first breath, first twitch, first whine, so many things happening all at once --) she is still so weak from the birthing that she sleeps through many of them. It has been almost two full days since they arrived; she cannot raise her head to look at them, and knows instinctively it is her job to tend to their needs - she is failing them. That leaves @Maegi as her most frequent companion and caretaker to the tiny brood; she is the only presence that Parvati allows near aside from @Ramsay should he choose to breach the outer corridor of Wolfskull. It is Maegi who will stimulate the little bodies in to digestion and clean them when they mess themselves. For now, all that Parvati can do is rest in her delerium.

The rich milk provided by Parvati would transmit more than just calories to her newborns - the first meal of any mammal was full of antibodies that would, eventually, kick-start the newborn's immune system. He had eaten hastily and often, like his siblings, and would continue to feast on the warm milk offered up โ€” unaware of the lackluster involvement of the woman or even his biological connection to her. The tongue that lashed at his face or cleansed his coat after every meal sent a note of discomfort through him at first; being warmย and wetย wasn't the nicest feeling, although by contrast, it was better than the chill of the cavern floor. There was little the child could do to protest against it; he had no mental faculties and certainly no physical capabilities yet. Whatever happened, Sobek was a small lump orbiting the much larger mass of Parvati, squirming between his twin and the ghost.

At two days old, Sakhmet was not much to look at. Pudgy, wiggly, and messy. These were things she could not control though. When she fed she gorged until she felt too tired to continue. Sometimes she awoke to the sensation of something sweeping over her small form. Warm but damp. Some days she met it with a protest of whines (the only sound she was capable of making at this point) and other days she welcomed the change from the coldness of the cave. Although she was never truly cold when she was crammed next to her twin and Parvati โ€” at rare moments she'd find herself by her other brother if she wiggled enough or was moved about.

Today was not a wiggly day though. Today she desired naps more than anything else. Although she wished to rest upon her twin who seemed far too lively to make a good pillow.

Ramsay didn't know what to think of all this. By now he'd worked out that the intimacy he'd shared with Parvati was, in fact, how one acquired children. He now had three to contend with, after all. Three children he had never asked for. Three children he had no use for. Three children not unlike Maegi, Euron and him, who had been just as unwanted at birth. Potema had forsaken them and left them to their own devices, dooming them to die if not for the care of their older siblings. He still despised her for it after all this time.

That was why, several days after their birth, he finally worked up the nerve to enter the cavern where Parvati nursed them. Maegi came and went frequently as well, but as he entered and his eyes adjusted to the gloom, it was only Parvati and the three children present. He breathed a quiet sigh of relief. He didn't much feel like sharing his first contact with his offspring with his sister, especially if she was still infested with worms that she risked infecting the newborns with.

Their mother was someone he had shared his body with, but little more. In truth he didn't much care about her, but she had brought his cubs into the world, so he owed her at least the courtesy of checking in. Are you well? he asked, unaware of her weakness and Maegi's role in ensuring the health of the cubs. His eyes went to them next; two dark and one light, almost seeming like formless blobs. Their names? he wondered, believing he had no place in naming these children he had no use for despite the quiet swell of his heart when he laid eyes on them.

At some point the ghost was replaced by another - a stunted shadow;ย herย shadow. Parvati was hardly possessive but when she felt the presence of Ramsay (through scent and warmth rather than sight or any other faculty since her's were mostly disabled at this point) she roused enough from her sleep to heed his words. She shifted her weight and adjusted so that she could face him, and wearily looked around in the gloom of the cave for his ink-blot silhouette.ย

Was she well? She didn't have the energy to complain and so she sighed a soft response, i am alright, although it felt like it took all of her energy to focus and to speak. She was lightheaded; hopefully all of this would pass, because Parvati wished only to see her babies grow up strong beside her. When Ramsay asked for names, Parvati's attention drifted; slackening with the waning of her energy level, she lazily inspected each shape. Mmm.. I hadn't thought about it, the woman admitted.

It seemed like much had slipped her mind during the event of their birth. She breathed in their sweet scent, the dusty, new-life smell, and smiled. The little ghost, I think he's...ย Anansi. The other two, hmm, they vaguely resembled the wolves of her home territory, but no names came to mind immediately, leading her to ponder. The girl, maybe...ย Sakhmet?ย Her brother... I do not know, I am... I am too tired. So the last child would go nameless for the moment, as the sleepy mother draped herself around them again.

He could not hear nor comprehend what was being discussed around him, but the rumbling and the vibration of his mother's voice through her chest was an unpleasant feeling. Sobek opened his mouth to protest and not a sound came from him, however, he dribbled milk down his chest and it soaked in to the stonework of the cave floor. This also displeased him; the warmth of the milk soon ceased and the puddle was uncomfortable. He flailed, pressing paws against Parvati and leveraging himself in to a roll away from her, completely by accident. His tiny head bumped something solid and he coughed a little noise, then sat there wriggling.
