All Welcome
Hoping for @Xizur and @Tizr & @Grezig for ref <3

The man hadn't spent much time with his niece and nephew yet. He'd been very busy with pack affairs and making sure nothing got in to harm them. Though he thought it would be nice to spend some time with them now. Of course, he'd checked on them often and made sure Grezig was happy.
It was time to see what kind of boots the kids were growing into.

He strolled on down to the den, chuffing loudly to announce his arrival as usual. The Zeta was particular about how he moved around the dens, not wanting to disturb anyone unintentionally. He was in good spirits today though so he thought everything would be well.
At least he hoped so.

"XIZUR" came the bellowing cry of his littermate as he sprung from the den with a wicked hyena like laugh filling the air about him. There was something that felt so right when it came to teasing his sister that it almost felt wrong. Almost.

He let out a satisfied huff at his work before turning to face his uncle, eyes wild and filled with mischief as he stared down his relative. Xizur's mind, unlike most other children, prioritized two categories above all others - food and entertainment. If you fell into neither you were deemed unimportant and up to this moment Derg had remained relatively useless in satisfying either of the boy's desires.

That however, was about to change.

The man couldn't help but chuckle as his nephew sprung from the den with a shriek behind him. He seemed to grow every day yet was still a pebble. Derg was sure he'd grow to dwarf himself with the size of his sire in his blood. For now, though, he was glad he was still little.
Little, but growing in mind and body fast.

"What's it to be today then, boy?" Came his challenge. Often, Xizur liked to try and fight and when is a mood such as today, Derg was obliged to play along. It never hurt anyone to start young. He stood with warm, honey eyes but his tail curled s if a threat. Teaching them the positioning of the body was just as important as anything else.

Xizur let his uncle get as far as "today" before he lurched forward in an awkward, inexperienced attempt at catching the older man off guard, completely ignoring the remainder of the words that slipped from the zeta's mouth. Whether or not his unsuspecting attack gave him any advantage mattered little to the boy for he only cared about one thing and that was sinking his fangs into the man's flesh.

So it was with a feverish glee and child-like roar that Xizur snapped at the air in front of him, frantically trying to grab a hold of anything he could.

Indeed, he was caught off guard but oft he'd been ready for this trick as he was now. A somewhat surprise attack wasn't much of a surprise when it was expected. He neatly sidestepped, watching the fury being unleashed. That was the problem and he'd trained others out of it -- it was always harder to train yourself even if you knew how.
"Control." Was his only command. If you could control rage, it becomes dangerous. Without control, it is worthless.

He leaned down, snapping his teeth near his nephew's rump before sharply pulling away, hoping to avoid his easy turning. The smaller you were, the faster you usually were; on a pivot at least.

Control. If there was a single subject that Xizur needed to be educated on most, control was definitely it. He needed to control his temper, his attitude, his obsession with causing trouble for others and above all else, he needed to control his gluttonous love for food. However for the sake of taking things in baby steps, today he was going to focus solely on soothing his seething rage.

So when the loud clack of his uncle's teeth met his ears, Xizur tucked his tail instinctively under his belly before spinning around to let out a long hiss of displeasure. How dare he try to bite his butt!!

Ah, always amusing. Despite his inner cackling, he kept a picture of serenity upon his face. Impassive.
He circled the pup like one of the birds gliding high above, gaze pointed and daring. Waiting for the next move. Maybe this time he'll let himself be caught in the teeth -- that's if he didn't genuinely get bitten.

"Calm. Direct your anger." He knew the kid found it hard to listen when all he wanted to do was bite and whatever else that was going on in his head. But hearing and registering what was being said was the first step. They could work on it.
He kept circling, waiting. Breathing evenly.

Caramel brown ears slicked flat atop his crown as he watched his uncle ominously continue to encircle him in an unsettling manner. It left the boy feeling as if he'd waltzed right into a trap that had been left for him which both enraged and frightened him at the same time.

He wanted out of whatever game this was they were playing and in a poor attempt to follow the guidance that'd been tossed his way, Xizur sunk down low and set his gaze upon the older man's most forefront paw. And then like a bullet firing from the barrel of a gun, the boy sprung from his position and snapped wildly at his target of choice, desperately hoping his attack struck true.

His words seemed to sink in as the bison became a viper. Cool and calculating. He liked the way he watched his target, judging and gauging.
The execution was a bit messy but that could be honed in when hunting and more spars.
He grinned and was indeed almost caught off guard the suddenness so he let young Xizur get his prize of a leg.

Derg cried out, half feigned and half because the kid had a hell of a bite.
His ears tipped back as he lifted up his paw, giving it a firm shake with a well-placed snap by the ear of his assailant. He suspected he'd easily let go, seeing as he cowered earlier. Though now he had a bite, perhaps he'd hold on.

And he did. He dropped off easily and Derg gave him soft parise and told him to go be nice to his sister. Then, he was off again, doing a patrol.
