All Welcome

getting back into the groove with this fella, but perhaps @Isilmë however still AW! Still need to thread with everyone!

A simple routine had formed in the man the longer he stayed in the Wilds, the longer he was a part of Kaistleoki. Waking early Emrik would head out to the caches or on a small hunt to bring back with him to Speedy, unless someone had already brought her something. Which happened more times than he could count. But at least half the time he was proud to say Speedy ate what he brought her.

After feeding the new mother, he would head out once again for either a patrol or to mentally map the territory. Having once been a scout, Emrik liked to know where he was living. Knowing intricate details of his home territory had helped him before. He had no doubt knowing this territory inside and out would be just as helpful.

However, today lent him to the border. Where he strove to strengthen the border, welcome newcomers, and ensure the integrity of the territory.

"Well, we'll just have to get to know each other a little better."

the feeling that had started making its trepidant way through the back of her mind was dangerous. it whispered to her when she had nothing else to occupy her thoughts and was quite keen on setting her up for disaster. and so she strove the ignore it, while at the same time needing desperately to believe in it.

maybe, everything will be alright.

she scored her claws against a thick root, which for the most part remained unyielding. with a huff, she continued a little faster along the borderline, only to find her path to be on a collision course with a stranger. a "hey!" tore from her lips before she recognized him as a packmate, albeit one she hardly knew the name off. Kirk? Rik? she paused a short distance away, squinting and drawing only a blank. in a normal voice, this time, "who're you?"
