All Welcome
There's salt on the breeze, trees shifting as she draws closer to the coast. The sky rolls grey, sprawling above her, dense clouds shielding her from baby blue. A sigh slips past her maw and she tears her gaze from the sky, hoping that it does not open up. She doesn't like the rain -- it's messy and she hates having wet fur. The sensation and smell of it is all too much.

Sand creeps between the flesh of her toes, the grain of it almost too much to bear. There's a permanent grimace on her face as she walks, teal eyes narrowed as she pauses to shake sand stirred up by the wind from her russet and black coat.

please let midar post before responding! <3
The day hadn't exactly started off great. By now he sort of regrets bringing up the idea of finding a pack to @Midar — but he also doesn't. They've been stagnant for too long, and he doesn't think he can stand only having his husband for company another moment longer. As much as he loves him, he needs a break. Especially right now.
We can't stay alone forever. What if we both get hurt again? Are we just going to die? The last words have an edge to them; he can't help finding the whole thing ridiculous. He's so wrapped up in their argument that he doesn't even notice that they're nearing a stranger now, set to pass her if nothing stops them. He just wishes Midar would be reasonable for once.

Well, Midar had never been reasonable, and that wouldn't change anytime soon. The beast was stubborn and selfish, and he absolutely did not want to share Alarian with another pack again. More importantly, he wasn't keen on pledging himself to anyone or following the rules of some inept pack leader.

His mood had been erratic lately, moving between apathetic and hating everything. He was tired of his stupid headaches and tired of Alarian disappearing on him every chance he got. So when his husband had suggested they join a pack, it of course had led to a huge fight. He also hated fighting, but that didn't keep him from constantly fighting with Alarian. Sometimes, he just seemed to be on a completely different page, and it was endlessly frustrating.

We can stay alone forever, he snapped back. That sounded great, actually. And don't be so dramatic. We survived last time, and we will do the same if it happens again. What were the chances that would happen again, though?

He did, however, notice the woman, and he stopped, ignoring whatever his mate threw back at him. His gaze narrowed. Enjoying the show? he asked coolly. She could have said something instead of allowing them to have a private conversation right in front of her. Of course, they hadn't really given her a chance to say anything in the few seconds they had been in earshot, but like we've mentioned, Midar isn't reasonable.

She peacefully minds her own business -- there's no use in listening to the bickering she felt drifting on the ocean breeze. Russet fur is dusted with grains of sand kicked up in the wind, smell of salt clinging to her pelt. Her tail swishes behind her, the cool waves lapping at her toes. It is not until one of the wolves directs a question at her that she turns her head towards them, head cocked to question the words.

"If you mean the ocean, then yes," she says coolly. Once the two had drawn close, she had done her best to replace their argument with the sound of the roaring ocean, waves crashing against the rocks. It had been peaceful until they had arrived, quick to destroy her few moments of peace. She had been so distracted by the ocean that she barely knew the words that they had spoken, wondering why they even thought to stop and seemingly imply that she had been eavesdropping rather than pass her by.
