All Welcome
he's not trespassing but close
pack. he smells pack here. he stops, snorting, and a laugh bubbles out of him. stupid, stupid, just like mother always said. he takes a lurching step backward, laughing harder. maybe his mother was right about him. maybe she was right about everything. the thought is hilarious. after all, he's spent his whole life trying to spite her, to prove her wrong. instead, he ended up a lone junkie, a wretched abandoned thing with so little sense left in him that he'd nearly stumbled giggling to his death. it's all just too funny.

Everything was weird.

Ying picked up extra patrols to distract herself. It gave her a chance to get away from everyone else without actually having to leave. The other day, she'd killed someone; one could only hope she wouldn't have to do it again.

She sounded a set of warning barks as she neared the border. There was someone on the other side— unfamiliar and dangerously close. Ying remained silent as she closed in, the tips of her teeth bared through cracked lips.

Once close enough, Ying commanded that he leave. Too close, she warned. Until Ronnie left, she would stand and watch him, eventually going to talk to Erzulie about their slew of close calls.
