the sea beat in her blood. her bones had turned to coral. the taste of salt filled her mouth, and her breath was the lash of waves against high stone cliffs.
come wid me, @Aningan, the harlot sang into the cold air of the late winter morning. as if she were a bird of the brine, as if she were a lone sea turtle, erzulie longed to return to the sands where she might conceive once more.
heat, thrumming beneath her pelt. eyes, gleaming with an open and hungry lust. she tasted the air; she wended her way between pines at the edge of the river which ran against the base of rusalka.
come wid me to de sea.

A shift in the air, a change to the scents frequenting his home—there was something coming, something changing, and he knew it even before being summoned. But the answers to what it was, what it all meant, he did not have; he felt uneasy. A feeling that grew with her call, although that did not stop him from answering—

—only did the mention of the sea give him pause, uncertainty growing. He was yet to visit the coast since being chased from it, yet to see what damage was inflicted and what life still remained. Perhaps part of him still feared it—feared that rage, the strength of the ocean—but he couldn’t ignore her. He said he would answer her call, when the time came, and answer he did.

Aningan trailed after her, following the sound of her voice—and when her voice faded, her scent, a touch of something to it not there before. Something new, something alluring. His former unease grew within his chest before morphing into something else entirely, something he could not name; it grew and flowed over, snaking through his veins and into his loins, where discomfort turned to longing. And when at last he saw her, he was quick to approach, seeking to bury his face in her fur—to be close, to be there to give what was wanted of him, when it was needed.

the ocean beckoned, but erzulie's attention in its entirety was captivated by the arrival of aningan. so much larger was the boy than she, and the harlot invited his embrace eagerly.
she curved her body beneath his lips, letting out a low croon as she leant into his strong body. her choice had been a good one, erzulie decided; aningan was not only a powerfully built man, but kindhearted. gentle.
but she hoped he would not be so completely gentle with her, not today. carefully, erzulie fell to preening the pale velvet of his cheeks, sweeping lips to his neck, his shoulder, as all the while her cinnamon plume swung great swathes of her scent into the cold air.

Embrace welcomed, greeted by touches of her own. The scent that surrounded her was abnormal, more suffocating up close than when there was distance between them; he felt he could give his attention to her and her alone, the rest of the world fading away. Her preening had him wagging his tail, eager, stilling as she reached his shoulder. A low whine escaped his throat, mind far too clouded to form words. Tilting his head down, leaning towards her, he sought to run his muzzle through her fur, teeth chattering; drawn towards the source of her new perfume, the calling he was sure he felt greater than his embarrassment.

aningan responded to her with a eager boyishness to his ministrations; she yielded to all of the, eyes drifting to a hazy close as he began to hunt along her flank. his usual daylight ebullience translated well to desire; she shifted her hips in his direction, too fired now for the pleasant warmth of a slow build.
time enough for that later.
erzulie purred, snaking her body back against him with an encouraging growl, swinging muzzle along one sharpboned shoulder to regard him with a wanting gold eye.

What knowledge his mind lacked was made up for by instinct; primitive desire, a wanting. He could not look away from her, watching her body as it moved and seeking to catch her eye. The sounds she emitted were matched by a low growl-turned-whine, antsy. And when her hips were facing him, he couldn’t help but brush his muzzle against her thighs, nosing at her tail to get it out of his way; should she allow him to shove it away, Aningan would make quick, clumsy work of trying (and likely failing the first time or two) to mount her.

aningan brushed at her plume, and erzulie batted once at him with a roused playfulness before steadying herself beneath his greater weight. through his fumbling she reassured the young bear with a soft whine, widening her stance to aid him. and when aningan made them one, erzulie voiced her satisfaction with a low trill.
it was not unpleasant; she was content to be here with him, to be his for a time, and so urged him on with a slow undulation.

The urging and assistance offered helped to guide him—several failed attempts and he hit his mark, after which he momentarily froze; surprised and suddenly nervous. At first, he wasn’t sure what to do but, after a moment or so, found his footing; aided by instinct, he rocked his pelvis back and forth, finding a steady rhythm.

Up until he was eventually tied to her, then paranoia set in. Stuck, his eyes widened and legs began trembling, the euphoria of the moment overtaken by ignorance-fueled panic. And when he finally figured out how to maneuver himself to slide off her back, all he could manage to get out was a long, Uh…?” What did he do wrong now?

their coupling was swift and fumbling, but she had expected it to be so. aningan seemed quite unsure of the act which had locked them together; she let out a brassy sigh and arched her muzzle round to seek some part of him with a reassuring lap.
"dis be how we ensure de little ones are created," she explained, amused by the undignified moment.
after a little while longer, their bodies parted. erzulie slid to the earth, grinned lazily at aningan. "an' we should do dat anot'er few times."

we can wrap this up here soon

Although explained away as his inability to retreat, he was no less confused by it all. He felt more awkward then than before, stumbling over words to past the time and eventually settling on silence. But the second they could part he was taking a step away, momentarily distancing himself—as if the distance would somehow grant him all the knowledge in the world. But, obviously, it could not and therefore did not.

But there was hardly a minute available to be wasted overthinking such things. Rather, he found himself taken off-guard by her comment—“A-Again?” he questioned, nerves gradually building right back up again. “How many times to make sure…?”

erzulie chuckled and lay back against the earth. "as many times as be feelin' necessary," she stated lightly. he seemed quite perturbed, and she sought to allay this by gathering herself up. "but later. we should eat somet'ing now," the harlot suggested.
maybe food would steady his nerves, conversation. the pure objectification of the moment might have gotten to him, erzulie wondered, beginning to cast a wide net for prey-trails with easy small steps.

Nerves were a difficult thing to overcome, especially when it came to something so new and strange. But despite this, he was not entirely against trying again—and again, however many times it may take. Because at the end of the day, it would further solidify his family there; their family would grow, they would have more to watch over. The idea of that alone kept him grounded.

But a moment to recollect himself wasn’t a bad idea, either, especially when a meal was suggested. Without so much as a second thought, Aningan agreed to grabbing a bite and followed his beta wherever she may lead him—and later he would do the same, following her lead all over again as he traversed these acts he was so new to.
