All Welcome
@Lumiya. Sorry for the bad starter.

Gusts came and went, the skies overcast and making the world slightly dim and all the more gloomy. Loveless pinned her ears back against her head grumbling as a particularly fierce blast of wind had her pause and dig the toes of her paws down into the dirt bracing against the nasty weather. Looking around she spotted a Willow tree blowing wildly and made for it, taking shelter against the thick, sturdy trunk while golden eyes watched the world around her. It was embarrassing to be so easily moved, by little more than some fiesty air nonetheless and she counted herself lucky that nobody had been around to watch it.

The outer reaches of their territory practically reeked of the faeries' scents now - there would be no mistaking, not even in the pouring rain. The queen was pleased about all they had accomplished already, and felt like it was near time they were official already. She'd give it but a few weeks for them to settle truly, then give the speech she's been wanting to give for the past moon or so. With Loinnir perched proudly on her back did she patrol the borders, not spotting the wolfdog in the distance at first.

The woman drifted by with so much ease Loveless thought she was seeing a spirit. Curiosity drew her to creep forward before her eyes focused and she realized the woman was of solid form and her ears perked "Hey...Hey miss!" she called as she was lightly swayed off balance pushing her jauntily toward the other. Golden eyes spotted the woman's feathered companion and with a bubbly smile she exclaimed "Wow, beautiful!" eyes widening and then narrowing with utmost fascination before she remembered manners "You uh...the wind is pretty nasty" she stumbled over her words realising she hadn't a purpose in calling out in the first place.

It wasn't the first time the fae had been mistaken for an otherworldly being - she took no pride in it, truly, but she did think of it as funny. She'd been shunned her whole life for the coat that did not match her family's standards and her eyes that did not gleam a toxic purple. It felt weird being called beautiful by others now, but not the bad kind of it.

Loinnir puffed his chest ever so proudly at the compliment, nearly losing his balance in the process. The fae smiled and rolled her eyes at him, turning then to the woman that had called her over so politely. They were a little ways from the border, so it was neutral territory for them both. Her fur curled gracefully in the harsh winds the woman had referred to. The queen nodded; Indeed — but it might just be spring blowing our way. She curtsied in greeting then. I'm Lumiya — tell me, pointed stranger, what may I call you?
