All Welcome
That night, there was a grey haze shrouding the high peaks of the valley. A light rain had persisted throughout the afternoon but tapered off in to early evening, and with some yearning offered up to the hidden stars, Ibis willed them away. She had found a narrow strip of plateau where the sloping mountain must have crumbled away, leaving rubble strewn to the valley floor. It had taken a few hours to hike up here, but now that she had found herself upon this open vista she cast her head back and sang a note for company.

Akavir was rarely far from her. This was a moment she could have shared with him alone, but being back in the vale made Ibis think of all the faces she didn't know - so rather than call for anyone with any specificity, she would wait here and see who might surface. As she lingered, the woman found a patch of stone upon which to sprawl and let her toes dangle over the plateau's precipitous edge. Maybe, if they were lucky, the stars would come out tonight.
