All Welcome
Something wasn't right. She should have felt something, shouldn't she have? There weren't any of the symptoms she had assumed would arise — movement, growth — which must have meant that something was wrong.

Stepping from her den, Ying stretched her limbs and sighed. There could be no benefit found in worrying; instead, the guardian began walking toward the border to distract herself with a patrol.

Orochi had done nothing but busy work for the past couple of weeks. Patrol, hunt, practice fighting. These distractions were much needed. Everytime he thought about Minori it felt like the world was closing in on him. The chores kept his mind off her, and anything else that was bothering him.

Today was no different from any other. He zoned out as he walked along the border over and over again. He spotted someone approach from a distance, and quickly made his way towards them.

Ying! He halted when he was close enough. What are you doing?

Orochi, she replied. Smiling, the guardian walked closer to where he stood and brushed shoulders with the young General. Want to patrol? Ying didn't wait for an answer; she started by marking the mouth of the sandbar and continued along the perimeter.

She turned to Orochi and asked, What you been doing? The pair hadn't seen much of one another (not a complaint), but with new information to think about, Ying was happy to have crossed paths.

The pair spoke for a short while before splitting apart. Having given Orochi his first mission, Ying felt confident with their potential progress.
