After her encounter with that stranger, Padma was in no mood to be nice or welcoming. With the discovery of her brother as the only light left in her life, Padma decided her path had already been dictated. She didn’t belong in a world full of sweetness and butterflies. This girl was meant for more dark and wicked things.

Her feet carried her away from the stranger, and ultimately away from her brother. She was a sinister seed and wanted to remain that way. It was nice to remember the girl she had once been. To acknowledge she had grown into a ruthless being, and so with her decision she ripped out her love for her family and fed it to the rage in her chest.

She had been walking for hours or days? Padma couldn’t remember. But she was beginning to recognize her surroundings. She was almost back at the Mesa when she came across the scent of the Nightwalkers. Black Hats old pack… If she remembered correctly.

She hadn’t seen Black Hat in a few days, and her loyalty was wavering. Still some distance from the dark wood, Padma wondered if perhaps the new leader(s) of this pack might in fact be stronger than BH himself. A voice whispered to her, seek strength and the rest shall follow. With this thought in mind, Padma tilted her head back and called for the leaders of the Nightwalkers.
"it is if everyone dies alone."
"Does that scare you?"
"i don't want to be alone."

Hela had allowed him to stay- Begrudgingly. He would need to work his ass off to prove his loyalty, however, and that currently meant he was on the border, making rounds. Not actively marking- that wasn't his right yet- but ensuring anything trying to get across the border that didn't have a right to be there was dead.
A familiar scent hit him and he gave a chuckle.  The little female he had exchanged words with in the woods. Relief flooded him and strangely, he was grateful that it wasn't the entire pack that failed- Valour had simply been right about how shit of a wolf Black Hat was.
He made his way towards her, a self satisfied smirk on his features as he stood before her.
"Nice to know I'm not the only one who can't seem to find Black Hat. His mangy pelt has a lot of explaining to do." He spoke, announcing his presence. There was no bitterness in his voice, simply the light hearted ribbing common for old war buddies.
"Kinda funny we run into each other again. You stalking me, sweetheart?"

Her approach is slow — she had been lingering awhile near the whelping den, watching the four that seemed to go so often unattended. She was of half a mind to search for the woman; it seemed she shared her father’s soft spot.

Memory, therefore, had beaten her to the call’s source. A woman, fit enough, a cursory glance proves. “Stand down.” She commands bluntly, though what he had offered is interesting enough to warrant another glance at the woman, and spark her curiosity regarding her once mentor. A glance, a slight can’t of her muzzle, asks then what the woman wants. A mere messenger, or something more?
