All Welcome
forward dated to the 15th!

Same old routine everyday. Eat and sleep, eat and sleep, sleep some more. Nothing exciting, nothing new. Pretty boring. Toshi had absolutely nothing against his current lifestyle. There’s free food and hours upon hours of naptime, what more could you ask for? If this was how life was gonna be like, he was a-ok with it. But life was gonna throw him a curveball. It’s name: the sun.

He woke up and, BAM, there it was. Bright light right in the goddamn eyes. Toshi let out a disgruntled squeal and turned around as fast as he could. Geez, give a guy a warning first.

For the time being, Chai was sticking close to home. She didn't know when her season would hit and she would rather not take any chances by wandering outside the safety of the pack. As much as she loved the freedom to roam and explore, there was plenty to keep her busy inside the borders. She gave the new mothers their space, mindful of their protectiveness towards their brood. She hadn't exactly known the precise location of @Kaori's den, as she had never actively sought it out.

It was by pure chance that the warm toned female happened by the densite, a fluffy spring rabbit held in her jaws, when little Toshi took a tumble with a squeal. Surprised, Chai jumped back instinctively, unsure if the dark dragnoess was coiled in her lair or lurking close by. She paused two body lengths away, one delicate paw upheld, glimmering blue eyes peering into the shadowy depths of the den. She was a softie for pups and her naturally caring instinct towards others kicked in, pulling at her heart strings. Though desperately wanting to heed them, to check on the boy, she stayed rooted to the spot, offering only a gentle chuff.

She had been doing a bit better and she was doing her daily patrol when she heard a young pup squeak and she went to go check it out and saw a female she hadn't met yet and she gave a soft bark in greeting.

idk what pups do at this age, sorry if he seems too old hahaha

Unlike his brother, Kiyoshi had awoken at mother’s side before the sun had even risen, and had blinked open his eyes for the very first time to face a slow adjustment from darkness to this peculiar new experience called light. He had no words to name the sunspots that patterned bright warmth across the den’s earthy floor. Kiyoshi simply knew he liked them. Presently, he had squirrelled away from the nook between mother and Toshi and lay in one of these beams, cooing softly to himself, and perfectly content to try and hide the light with his big clumsy paws, lifting them up and flopping them down in the same spot over and over. He’d catch the sunspot sooner or later, and then he’d have more than just his own warmth to give to mother and Toshi when they snuggled down to sleep again!

Yes, he was perfectly content despite his futile flailing — until a squeal from his brother made him turn with a whoosh of his head.

Oh no! his little brain thought, Toshi must be in trouble! or so the little knight determined, and with a stern frown at the sunspot to maybe scare it into place while he embarked on his very first rescue mission, Kiyoshi hobbled over to save his brother in a stumble of fluffed up fur and stubby legs.

Kaori is in the background and able to be skipped until/unless directly mentioned! ^^

Ever the light sleeper, the adventures of the hatchlings were not unnoticed. Kaori awoke first to the wriggling of Kiyoshi as he maneuvered himself away to bask in the light, a smile drawn across her lips whilst she observed; she could think of nothing better than a young dragon taking in the warmth of the sun—she almost moved to join him but, after careful consideration, decided against it. Time alone, to develop their independence, was important, and the young mother did not wish to infringe upon that.

Stretched out within the den, she kept her head rested on her paws, gaze trailing after the curious Toshi when he awoke; both boys were trapped in the darkness no longer, set free by the opening of their eyes. She was curious to see what they may do with this new gift—it was only when she heard the sounds of others outside and smelled the two females that she grew more cautious. Sitting up, the dragoness remained attentive, watching her hatchlings as they investigated. She did not feel uneasy about the situation and did not see any reason to involve herself—not yet, that is.
