Their mother was nowhere to be seen and her scent had practically disappeared from the territory and the dark woman was furious but nothing could be done about it now. The woman would simply adopt the young with no hesitation. Now that one was found she went to go find the little one within the territory. @Famine

famine hadn't seen conquest in years; if not years, then months, which was an equally too-long time. he'd done all that he could to find his missing sister, including several unaccompanied excursions to the territory's border. his attempts to cross were always interceded, only fueling his frustration. why was no one looking?

his birth mother had left the scene, but famine didn't mind. he'd become used to spending most of his time near serem and her twins anyway. the child wandered alone with his thoughts until noticing the dark woman's approach. he ran to her side, rubbing against her chest, and waited for his new mother to say something.

She was met with the young pups greeting or affection she couldn't tell which but she gave the little one a nudge. Him and his siblings had been around her for a while and so she was used to them acting as her children did. "Qué estás haciendo?" She questioned, she knew he missed his sister and she understood the bond of siblings if not more than anything else.

everyone asked the same question: what are you doing? and famine's answer never changed. finin' connie, he replied with a shrug, 'yudame? he'd meant to ask for help, though his pronunciation was notably imperfect.

the child stuck his nose to the ground, wondering if conquest's scent still lingered. mamá would know if his sister had passed by, right? curious, famine asked: you seein' connie?

She gave a soft smile to the young boy. "We have many out looking for her." She wanted to tell him not to worry but she knew that would. His Spanish was a little broken but the woman knew what he was trying to say. "Of course." She reassured him that she'd help. "I haven't seen her no." If she would of known their mother was just going to up and vanish she would of taken better care of the youngsters.

famine shook his head assertively and replied, nuh-uh. everyone was here, inside of the territory. how could anyone be looking for conquest? he stopped walking and picked a wildflower from its stem, then leaned upward for serem to take it.

he kept walking, eyes still wide in their search. big connie, famine continued, grande y roja. was that enough of a description? serem would need to keep up with the details if she was going to be of any use.

She took in the description and the boys Spanish was improving so it was easier to understand. "Let's search outside of the territory for a bit perhaps we'll find a clue. But stay close." She had no idea where she would look but perhaps trying would help ease the young ones mind.

can we wrap with your post?

outside of the territory? none of the other adults had been this cooperative, but famine wouldn't question his mother figure's intent. he followed dutifully behind her, doing as he was told in their search for the missing conquest.

They searched for a while until the sun began to set and she looked to the boy. "We can continue the search tomorrow, it's going to be dark soon. " she stated simply. Once she was done escorting him back to the territory she would do one last patrol of the borders before heading to sleep.
