For @Huā!

The birth of Yuèlóng's puppies had inspired an uncharacteristic feeling of hopefulness within Ruvik, almost as if he had a sense of purpose now. Here, he could most certainly help and prove his worth, provide for beings more useless than he in some tangible way. He still held himself with the same hesitant awkwardness, but he was walking with a little more determination in his stride these days.

While he could not defend their territory from threats nor reliably help search for their missing few, Ruvik figured Huā would need all the food she could get nowadays, and so he set his sights on the shoreline of the island, wading fourth into the shallows with a bowed head. He hadn't the first clue when it came to fishing in open waters such as these, but surely the ocean would provide for them as it had done so so far.
Ruvik is a limited consent character, which means you don't need my consent to inflict damage (anything goes — except outright killing him)!

Today she had left the children with Daiyu for an excursion around the isle. Was she being too careless, she considered? No- they would be safe. She trusted the dark little sister, and besides, she was the empress. It was good to get her legs moving again; she knew in time she would need to get back to her responsibilities, puppies or not.

Today she walked along the midline of the shore, further up from the waves and yet far from the mild grasses. The sand felt good on her feet, the noise of the waves was like an aid or relaxation. It was her version of a personal spa day, and on that note, she considered heading down to take a bath in the salt waters. It was then Huā sighted the gangly Ruvik in the shallows, and so her pace increased ever-so-slightly as she let out a friendly chuff. Halting a few yards back from the water, Hi, Ruvik! What you doing? Her mood was bright today, evidenced in both tone and wagging tail.
