All Welcome
@Siarut <3 Forward-dated to the 27th

Overall, Ikiaq's little life had not been very eventful. There'd been once or twice that the strange shape came in and replaced his mother, but that wasn't enough to be noteworthy. He still didn't like her - no offense to the other milk-giver, but it just wasn't the same as his mother.

This morning, however, was important.

Because this morning, when Ikiaq woke up from his sleep, things were different. Because when he woke this time, his eyes did not remain closed. Light seeped into baby blues and Ikiaq let out a fearful whine, trying to squirm away from the shine.

Nanook had needed a small break. Her legs and back cramping from the often awkward position she found herself in when curled around their children. Of course Siarut had shoo'd her up and out when she started complaining. He hadn't got to cuddle yet today. The normally stoic man, was anything but when it came to the four small bundles.

He wasn't sure if she continued out of the den or stay nearby, but Siarut turned his full attention on the youngsters. A small smile cresting his lips. He was snugly curled around them, catching a few more minutes of sleep, when the cry awoke him. Lifting his head to look down upon his young, Siarut wasn't surprised to find that Ikiaq had found his sight.

Siarut knew the sun might be painful for the boy, but he took a page out of Nanook's book and let him figure out his surroundings on his own. He would learn the sun was nothing to be afraid off. He did however lean in and nose the top of his head, so he knew he at least wasn't alone in his fear.

The touch to the top of his head was also unexpected, and Ikiaq's maw set into a pout. This all sucked. Everything was bad. There had never been anything good in his entire life - there was only badness and wrongness, he decided firmly. The light was bad. The touch was bad.

With a quiet snort, Ikiaq screwed his eyes back shut and shifted around to bury his nose into his father's fur, trying to block the light out completely.

A rumble shook Sia’s form slightly, a soft chuckle in his lips. His son pouted before pressing his face more deeply into his pale fur. On instinct Siarut’s tongue swept along Ikiaq’s back. He unfortunately couldn’t turn out the sun to help with any discomfort. Besides the young boy had figured out a solution to protect his eyes.

He’s snout remained close to Ikiaq, resting on an upturned paw. He smiled again at their squirming. They were all going to be a handful.
