Stone Circle inquiring within, pt 1

Yllka
Lone Wolves

I'm sorry that my girl is so unconventional and unorthodox. Please humor her, lol. Please note that she is sitting and waiting at the border. ❤️

P.S. It said that a prefix was required and Stone Circle was the only one I had the option to select.

Since meeting with Warlock of Legion, Yllka had the idea to see what the expectations were for the packs of the Teekon Wilds. She decided that she would visit each pack and make some inquiries. Perhaps this way, she would be able to see which pack she would best suit or maybe which pack would be willing to take on a wolf like her.

After speaking with Warlock, she had some idea of what was necessary to join Legion, so she didn't feel the need to inquire at the borderlands of that pack. She chose to come to another pack border she had discovered. She didn't know any of the packs by name, save for Legion, and she had a rough idea where Legion was located. Thus, she knew, that these borders were marked by another pack.

She knew her methods and means of doing this were likely, if not highly, unorthodox, but she supposed she was a rather peculiar canine anyway.

She politely seated herself at the scent border, attentive to not step over the invisible line that marked the pack's territory. She breathed and then howled to alert whoever was on patrol of her presence.

it's not that polaris was avoiding the wolves of easthollow. on the contrary, she'd lingered closer to the pack than she was even accustomed to since her return whilst trying to tackle the freshly cut guilt at having been absent when they'd needed her most. but she found herself avoiding the innermost parts of the hollow and its eternal sentries, unable to bring herself to face the fallen that she'd never even gotten to meet. she knew it was irrational, unhealthy even but the questions were tenacious with their attacks and so she fell victim to their hissed jeers all too often; if she'd been here, or even in the neighbouring territories then perhaps she might have caught scent of the fanged behemoth and given the wolves the time they'd needed to escape and prepare, or if they'd just had one more set of jaws to protect then perhaps polaris would not have to know even more children now that had had a parent unjustly stolen away before them. it is why she lingers restlessly on the borders, jaw tensed hard despite the groaning ache of pearly fangs when she starts at the call to sound not too far off.

there is a moment in which she simply stares dumbly in the direction in which the song's vocalist was located, glancing off to the side as if expecting to see the equanimous presence of valette striding through the shivering blades but no, it was just her. and so, shaking her head roughly in a vague attempt to clear it somewhat, the dove took off at a nimble trot; curious despite herself. it doesn't take long for the prodigious woman to breach her line of sight and the svelte girl slows, scintillating gaze vigilant in its press as she glances about to confirm that she was most definitely alone. eyes skip briefly across her pallid figure, coming to rest unwaveringly upon her own honey kissed look as a polite smile graced angular features. "welcome to the borders of easthollowshe'd announce, quite enjoying the thrill to ripple along her spine at the weight of such words before lilting "what brings you here?the musk of wolves does not drag at her hairs and the girl finds herself quite enjoying the tantalizing tang of the untainted world wafting towards her from her company.

Yllka
Lone Wolves

Yllka didn't have to wait long for her call to be answered. A lithe, pale wolf emerged from the foliage and greeted her. The pack wolf seemed friendly and genial, which was a good sign. It felt like the ideal situation. And Yllka could only hope it would prove to be so.

Thank you, Yllka replied, dipping her head politely to the other wolf.

I came to make a few inquiries about the Easthollow pack, if I may? Yllka continued tentatively. I was wondering… what are the requirements of joining Easthollow? That is, are there expectations for a certain set of skills to join? Or do you accept wolves whether they have a desirable set of skills or not?

She looked at the other wolf expectantly. Her ears were turned forward, her full attention on the wolf before her. She didn't really consider how strange her questions seemed, for they seemed logical to her. This whole process—making the inquiries, that is—seemed necessary to learn about the packs of the Teekon Wilds and understand their expectations of newcomers in their packs.

slender brows arch, she wished to enquire about easthollow? lambent look narrows, curiosity heightened, but she keeps ahold of her tongue whilst allowing the wayfarer to provide her explanation. huh, head tilts to the side as she rolls this unexptected ask over in her mind, blinking at the expectant gaze piercing intently upon her. "wellshe muses, thoughtful frown pressing upon angular features as she thinks back to the day she'd first approached the stalwart borders of easthollow. "i am no leader, so i can not guarantee that this is exactly what they'd say but going off of my own experience trying to join here...i believe easthollow values loyalty and family over all else, the leadership is fair but strong. if you seem honourable and willing to work to look after the pack and those within it i think you'd stand a good chance at joining, and once you prove that you mean it you can advance from newcomer to familyears splay a little sheepishly as she grins and adds "that is what i believe from my time here anyway, it's a really great place"

shifting her weight as the clement breeze tickles at the fringes of her neck, the dove adds curiously "why do you ask? you're without a pack right now, right?was she perhaps looking to find a home within the eternal stone's grasp? or simply an intrigued soul with an enquiring mind?

Yllka
Lone Wolves

It was unconventional, Yllka knew that. It was very unconventional. She didn't imagine that many wolves wandered to a pack's border to discuss pack policies. She wanted to know the expectations. She knew that the packs wouldn't all be the same. Otherwise, there would only be one pack. But packs tended to be forged via two routes: the most basic, a means of survival, but the most prominent, a difference in beliefs and values.

And where Legion seemed to favor strength and skill, it seemed Easthollow valued family and loyalty. – Though Yllka had no doubt that loyalty was an important belief within Legion, too. After all, how can a pack be forged without loyalty? – Yllka considered the pack wolf's words. Could this be the pack she was looking for? She wondered briefly before the other wolf's question brought her out of her head.

Yes, I am. I recently met a kind wolf from another pack and I realized, in talking with him, that I might not have any desirable skills to offer to a pack. So I thought it might be a good idea for me to inquire about the requirements are for the packs around here, she explained with a smile.

@Polaris sorry for the delay! <3
