All Welcome
Forward dated to the 27th. I know we agreed upon the 26 but I looked at how long it would technically take him to get there so it would need to be dated further to match with my timeline. DM me on discord if I need to change it!
I measured and HW is roughly 50 miles from RC, 60 if one goes around the ridge territory to the right of HW. The max travel range to have been recorded of a wolf/wolf pack in one 24 hour period is 30 miles. So it would take Donnie roughly 3 days to arrive there.
Setting: Evening — 19:45. 80 degrees — Clear skies, mild breeze.
Set in the southernmost area of Felltree Marsh at the edge of the HW border.
Permission to pp Dove leaving and arriving with Donovan. Pls allow Dove to post first (╹◡╹)♡

Donovan gathers @Dove, the newest medic and die hard peacekeeper. Perhaps she will be able to assist in the neutrality of the two packs to be kept. He knows they will not be allies. They will either leave on neutral terms or enemies. Only time will tell. So as he ushers her to eat a fair fill of food, as does he, they’re off to the Hushed Willows. They leave when the sun disappears along the horizon and the air has cooled. It makes it easier to cover more ground when one isn’t dying of a heatstroke.

They make their way through the mountains and valleys north of Redsand Canyon. Days pass and they’re forced to go around the mountainous ridge that presents itself to them. To spare energy, and certain death attempting to climb up onto the ridge, they go around it. Finding themselves in a moist, drab land of broken, drowning trees. Then his eyes surely light up when he’s able to see the glorious willows off in the distance.

Upon arrival, he glances along the tree line, not daring to go any further. He tilts his massive head back and calls for the members of Seelie Court, specifically for their leader @Lumiya.

There were things she did not know, mainly that there were tensions among a few packs and her new home. It was an interesting thought that she was being brought to keep the peace, a mixed breed that was always thought of as inferior. How funny it was that though she was new she was the best candidate for this but if it was a pack full of warriors it would make since for the healer to be the most calm and collected when things ran hot. When he told her she did as she was told, took in her fill of prey and even went the extra mile to roll in a little bit of lavender she found to smell nice. She would have told her leader to do this but she could only laugh when the thought crossed her mind, just to watch him roll in a few leaves of purple flowers would be comical.

Another thought came to her before they had left and so she carried two rabbits in her teeth, their tender ears making an excellent hold as they moved. As the moved she spotted the willows in the distance, the place he had told her these pack of canines ruled. Had he told her the name, ah, that she could not remember. She was just happy to be able to help him keep the peace and to keep the situation calm, once they reached their preferred destination she look around as he called for their members. She nodded, happy that he chose a more neutral area than at their borders. hopefully this was less threatening to them and would show they would not want to be their enemy. For now she kept her rabbits in her mouth, she would set them at this pack's leader's feet, a good way to show she was respected and appreciated.

MOOD for this post

The queen fae had recovered from her reckless emergency trip to the island of the mermaids - and it seemed everyone had returned unscathed in their attempt to rally their troops to defeat evil. She'd already written off peace as a solution; there was no way she'd bow to nor stand on the same level as the creature named Donovan. They were opposites, bound to not get along as their strings of fate intertwined and tangled in ways neither of them had probably expected. Opposites not like ying and yang, but more like night and day - one inherently good, other inherently bad - or so she thought. It was hard to wipe a first impression from the fae's memories, for she'd given everyone in her life a fair chance - then again, if fate decided a second chance was in order, she'd oblige... just not this time.

He and his followers, though the distinction was hard to make, had done too much evil to this realm to warrant forgiveness. Two had trespassed, one had fought her best warrior - and that was only the personal offenses she'd received. They'd settled in the mountains she crossed regularly, neighboring her closest ally, and had near-killed Dawn. They were arrogant, like her blood relatives, yet lacked the intelligence to realize that their actions had consequences and that, sooner rather than later, they could expect retaliation.

When she heard the call, something stirred deep inside her. Though it was but a howl, calling specifically for the faes, she knew who it belonged to. It was the same voice who'd rambled on and on the second time they'd met - the same voice that had mocked her when he had been found within their forest. If only they'd killed him then, everything could've been avoided. The pain and suffering - she could've avoided it all! To hell with second chances, the demons of the canyon would suffer at the hands of the fae folk in the name of this realm.

Her skunk-like tail was held high, wildflower gaze peering through the curtains of the willow branches. There seemed to be two, and the white dove seemed unfit to defend against a handful of faes... Was it a trap? She'd stay close to their border until reinforcements would arrive, giving her own call to specify who she needed at her side most - the rest should stay inside and hide should this meeting become an ambush. Of course her call rang for @Orlaith - then it went to @Fionn , @Aoibh and lastly @Caw should the strange raven wish to prove himself in a time where it mattered most. It was then she revealed herself, seeking to lock eyes with Donovan.

You are not welcome here. She called, voice booming and demanding - a tone befitting a queen. Leave now, while you still can — or suffer the wrath of the faes.

Orlaith skulked out of the forest like a lion, watching the two wolves with an anger of fire within her olives. She kept her head high and proud, tail up with a visible snarl upon her face; pure hostility. The guard remained silent, as the Queen spoke to the man who distinctively smelled of The Saints, but she never met him, nor did it matter. Dealing with Derg, Riley and now Memory, she only had militant ideals toward them. Derg, was the only one she could respect; the rest deserved death.

He was unwelcomed. And so was the small, white wolf next to him, whom looked of peace. However she was given the same glance as the man, a look of dislike and disdain, for if she joined their group, she took in their values. It was why she couldn't like Derg, or anyone associated; if they followed that man, they followed his values, and the chaos he has condoned.

caw is busily burying a mouthful of yarrow in his first new cache when the call comes. shadowed by the edge of the willows, his head lifts eagerly to it. the faerie queen is calling him! but what for?

it is urgent, yes! but this is no excuse to mistreat his plants! he lowers the herbs gently to the shallow hole he has dug, lifts his leg to mark the tree for when he can come back for it, and sprints off into the treeline after the voice. it leads him away from the willows, closer to the very fringe of the faerie court, tongue lolling eagerly from open jaws as he approaches.

he creeps out of the surrounding woods with big bright eyes, tail sweeping behind him and vrána a lingering presence on the curve of his shoulder. it is immediately very clear why he has been called. even he is capable of noticing the tension in the air. he is not sure he is any good with this type of situation, but this has never stopped him from doing anything before!

he does not manage to go far before a fourth figure slinks out of the forest only a few feet away. caw pauses, but she does not seem concerned with him, even though she also does not look happy. she stares after the strangers with head high and teeth bared as well. this just must be the proper way to approach these visitors! he does not know much of the situation but, happily mirroring her movements, caw comes to a halt behind her, hackles raising into a black-and-white bristle of guard hairs and crow’s feathers as he waits for a command.

sorry for short post my brain hurts

At the call, Fionn did not hesitate to arrive quickly, coming to stand beside Orlaith, Lumiya, and another silver-black red-eyed stranger. His focus was on the evil before them- Donovan and a little flower. For a moment she made him hesitate, and then he recalled Deidra, the definition of good in this world- and saw the stranger for what she was, a henchman who supported this evil beast, no matter how delicate she seemed. And so in a moment a snarl ripped from his throat, fur along his spine raising threateningly and bloodred eyes piercing through these bastards.

When the summons hit the air, Eleuthera’s heart clenched — and when she heard Lumiya’s secondary call to arms for her warriors specifically, Eleuthera felt an eerie sense of calm wash over her. The lilac fae had something of a temper at times, but this was different. This was a serious response, to a serious threat. She knew how ephemeral the balance of it all was, and how easily things could be tipped out of her favor.

Eleuthera wanted to approach this in a way that would ensure the preservation of the faeries, at least for another day. Her place was not on the front lines. Her place was amongst the willows — standing at attention, nothing but seeing eyes and listening ears, trying to perceive what was going on outside of the willows. She was receptive and willing, at the behest of Lumiya and Orlaith or really any faerie who knew the art of battle (or, more hopefully, negotiation) far better than she.

Eleuthera waited for instruction, or for her intuition to rush into her and tell her what to do. Whatever came first.

How did so many wolves materialize out of nowhere? Riley watched each of them with a nonplused expression as they seemed to arrive all at once. He had scented Donovan on the wind and had coursed it, coming to a head with both parties gathering in a secluded bosk.

He had never traveled far the day they had accosted him. For both his own sake, and the fact his injuries hindered any sort of great traveling.

He supposed if anything, his presence here could serve as a reminder of the truth — for he did not trust these wolves, who were clearly liars to begin with. What wolf claimed they owned a neutral forest? And now they were acting as if they owned here too..

It didn’t occur to Riley that these wolves knew his alignment with Donovan — he had not smelled like the man or his pack the day he had been attacked, for his presence in the redsands had stretched a mere two days before he had departed to find Esme. How long ago that day seemed!

Riley climbed carefully atop a shattered boulder not so far from the group — surveying the hostiles with not an ounce of love in his anzac-gold gaze.

Kincaid still maintained that this was all none of his business; he stuck close to Eleuthera and kept his head down, doing his best to ease her mind even as he grew more and more wary of what might come.

And here it was on the willows' front stoop; apparently come just to talk, which Kin hoped valiantly was the case. Here he was again at Eleuthera's shoulder, hanging back just as she did, ready to act if needed, but mainly offering the lilac woman his moral support.

Donovan watches as her ethereal forms appears from the low hanging vines of the ever present willows, she holds power in her stride and he knows she isn’t going to fuck around. Her tail is raised high above her haunches and her ears cup towards him — the shewolf is on high alert and she has every right to. After all, the Saints have gained quite the negative reputation for themselves, have they not? In return Donovan stands confidently, tail curled tightly on his hips. Head and chin held high and his eyes are cold and calculating, yet interested all the same. The priestess beside him holds the rabbits in her maw, he only spares her a quick glance before weaving his eyes on Lumiya.

He can see the way she gazes upon them that this will not end well. She tilts her head back to call for her pack no doubt. Internally he shakes his head. Weak. She calls for her pack because she has no confidence in her own ability to fight him if it came down to it. Though as she steps forward her voice carries over to them with a threat weaving into her words.

This woman is so dull as to not even hear what he has to say? If she were to attack him and the poor little Dove beside him, wouldn’t that make her just as bad as him? Though as he contemplates what he will say he doesn’t even get the first words out before wolf after wolf shows themselves from the eerie forest. Leading up to a total of five, his coingold eyes switch to each and every one. Skillfully, his face displayed no emotion. Only a noticeable interest flits through his eyes. Though momentarily, he does fear for the female alongside him. If they decide to attack, surely she’d be ripped to pieces. He would sacrifice himself for his pack in the blink of an eye, but they will have to see how this plays out, for his ultimate goal for the faerie court is neutrality.

He hums lowly in acknowledgment, looking around to them, the presence of Riley off to the side unknown to him, he prepares himself to speak.

“I have come peacefully to speak with you, alpha to alpha.” He says lowly, Donovan’s way of politely denying her request for them to leave. His voice holds only a firmness of authority rather than malice. He’ll get straight to business. “It has come to my attention that one of our members has trespassed on your land. You beat him senseless as anyone else would and I do not blame you for that — I would’ve done the same. Though one of your warriors also attacked one of my own — unprovoked might I add. It seems we are on even terms — an eye for an eye so to speak. You haven’t wronged our pack so we wish not to quarrel with you. The only thing I do wish between us is the possibility of neutrality. It will save everyone’s time and energy, perhaps even lives too.” All the while, his eyes never leave her own. “If you are not willing to even give us the time of day to speak without violence, that makes you just as bad as you all make me out to be, no?” At the tail end of his last sentence he gives a quirk of his circular brows to emphasize the question.

Phone posting, please forgive the typos

They called for the woman and out of the beautiful willows she came, her skirts of silver and ebony perfect for her backdrop. Ah, but she did not leave her borders. Though her voice rang out as a booming command, she acted as if she was afraid. She would not meet the bull and the dove on neutral ground but stood firm to her lands. How strange, she spoke of a wrath of faes. So that made them faeries, and she their faerie queen. She now had a title, well, she assumed that would be her title.

The strange band of faeries came, some with hate in their gaze where others seemed passive. How unfair this fight would being they chose to attack but to attack without someone provoking, was that not in definition as not good. Would that put them on the same ground? The priestess gave her mind a mental shake as she listened to her leader, he spoke bluntly and without the flair that might have been needed. Beside him her own tail remained tightly curled, high on her back.

When his words came to an end the dove looked over to Donovan before stepping forward just a touch, laying the two brown amd ivory marked hares on the ground. "Pardon, but if I had known we would be entertaining so many fae.. I would have brought more offerings. Maybe next time I'll bring a deer, that would be better for thia many." The girl smiled up at the group that had gathered with such warmth it would be hard to deny that she was nothing more than a dove of peace. "As my lord had said, we are hear to speak of neutrality. As a gift I brought some food to offer you Queen of Fae, I wish we could come to an agreement. No harm should come to anyone in either pack, peace talks are suppose to be peaceful. No?" Again she smiled, looking up at the woman of two toned eyes. Ah they were a pretty combo, very faerie, nothing like her own fire and ice. She dipped her head before stepping back in line with her alpha, maybe her more flourished words would get to the ears of the flower queen but then again.. maybe not.

Lumiya wasn't stupid. She knew when she was outmatched physically - a fight between her and Donovan would, no doubt, end up with her wounded or dead and him the victor. Only a fool would stand against him alone, especially someone as unfit for the fight as her. She was fast, so perhaps she could've outrun his bulking figure, but she could already imagine him thinking she was a coward for doing so. Being smart simply wasn't appreciated in his world.

If the court would slaughter them then and there, it would mean victory for the realm. They would've killed with a purpose, Donovan had no thought put behind his violence - at least, not as far as she was aware. She imagined it being a matter of blood lust - a want for the thrill and power it made him feel. Perhaps he got off on it, she didn't know really. The point of the matter was, they wouldn't be attacking innocents or randoms they met on their way. They would be attacking an enemy that had wronged them and their allies. They could never be as bad as him.

She narrowed her gaze as he spoke, the wind fae listening as he wanted. So he was unaware of his own trespassing and wrongdoings spread across the crying land - the pain they'd brought to her allies? If this was equal grounds, enough to warrant a peace-talk, they were probably so deep in the dirt by other packs that they only had a shot to become neutral with the court that had suffered the least in their presence. To accept the offer would be an act of treason to her allies and friends. She hadn't been around for the near-slaughter of one of the Saints, but she had heard from Orlaith what had happened. She wondered if Donovan knew he had taken a whiz on their land. She wasn't about to tell.

She didn't interrupt him nor the woman that accompanied him. So that was what the hares were for, though she wouldn't be accepting the offering. With their numbers, small game was easy to come by and the herds had returned nearby. They didn't need their hand-me-downs. She scoffed at first when they were finished, a sound too soft for them to hear from afar but her faeries may have heard - soon that scoff became a mocking chuckle anyone could take notice of, but she regained a sense of nobility shortly after.

I gave you the time to speak, but what I've heard hasn't made me very happy. She started. I bet you didn't give all the innocents you and your followers have attacked and mutilated the time to do so, hm? Not to mention your empty promise to move away from this part of the Wilderness. I heard you've instead opted to settle in the mountains where my allies reside - word spreads easily you know. Throughout her speech, her tone was professional but the glint in her eyes revealed she was enjoying this. She then turned to the woman next to him. No harm should've come to anyone in this realm, yet you found relying on your teeth and muscle was the easy way out. If you hadn't made enemies of everyone you came across, perhaps you now had a leg to stand or allies to rely on. The you's were directed again at Donovan, for she doubted the woman had any say in the matter. She wasn't acting like his lover, perhaps she was just the nicest looking Saint in their rotten bunch.

Move your pack away from us and our allies, out of the mountains - only then will I consider becoming a neutral party in the mess you've made. The 'if not' was quite obvious; they would have to be removed with force and it wouldn't be pretty.

Orlaith was on edge, as she stared at the man with a malicious gaze and a snarl continuing to face the two. She was a hasty warrior, wanting to solve the issue with her fangs rather then the pretty words the two leaders continued to duel with. She had an inkling that the rest would stop her chaotic attacks with the Queen being diasstified, but she wasn't one to talk, for her mouth of fire would spew profanities as she clashed with claws.

Lumiya would talk, with the warrior behind, defensive and aggressive.

She couldn't help scoff at the man with his 'peace,' remembering how Styx had mentioned a woman got too close, and they nearly ripped her throat apart. How one of their members came to the land and marked, giving the fairies a mockery, that enough, was eligable for an attack from her. The flaming wolf was prompted to attack their member on neutral land as a warning, and she still doesn't regret it. Orlaith was glad on how their Queen did not dismiss all that they done, as she knew far more then the guard knew.

If Fionn could hear Donovan's thoughts, he would've laughed. It would've been more foolish of the queen to deny backup when she had it available- after all, the most stupid choice would be to overestimate one's own ability. And just as Lumiya could not realistically defeat Donovan alone in a battle, Donovan would never be able to have a successful diplomatic conversation with the fae or their allies, not after the things that had already taken place. It was foolish of him to believe he could. Peace would never be found between them, so long as they sat on the doorstep of allies, and kept the violent beast in charge. Even the statement that refusing peace would make the fae just as bad- Fionn did not hold back his scoff. Just because they didn't want to have friendly conversation with the murderers and kidnappers didn't mean they were one of them.

He felt almost sorry for the little woman besides Donovan. While he typically held the mindset "you are the same as the ones you run with," Fionn had a soft spot for little women, and the way she brought prey... he wondered if she was some kidnapped slave of his. Or perhaps her innocence was simply a mask. He reminded himself he ought not to be so naive.

Lumiya's words were more intelligent and eloquent than Fionn could've worded it, and he was impressed with the yearling queen. This also sounded to Fionn like the man was begging a war would not meet him soon- for ten or so wolves, would not stand a chance against twenty or thirty- even Donovan could not be so foolish. But the faeries, usually kind, could not show mercy upon those who hurt the innocent. And so as the queen demanded once again that they leave, even though Fionn figured it would not be so easy, he was proud of her- proud that she would not give in, for fear, for laziness, or anything other. She was small, yes, but brave.

Eleuthera’s player PM’d me saying I could skip! <3 btw -- content warning: bad words ahead.

Riley didn’t know anything about all the ‘attacks and mutilations’ the woman espoused, but he did know one thing:

She sure liked hearing herself talk.

As far as he was aware, the band of wolves before him were just as bad. Did they not attack and mutilate him over being in unclaimed land? He rolled his eyes and a loud, audible sigh could be heard as the monologue droned on.

He could bear it no longer, especially when the sermon turned preposterous by way of — was that a command? From her? Who the hell did these wolves think they were, acting like they owned hundreds of miles of land? What was next, the entire valley?

There was no point in being diplomatic with these wolves. Too many bats in their belfry. This was the leader of the gang that had torn into him -- there was not an ounce of respect or love for her in Riley's mind. She might not have been the one that drove fangs into his hindquarters, but it only took thirty seconds of hearing her talk for Riley to realize she was just as full of herself as wolves she lead.

He rose, his shadow cast down the stone he stood upon. Shut up, cunt. The male snarled, unabashed by all the eyes that would surely be upon him. Fuck off to your soggy trees. Riley’s tail climbed over his torn hips, his crocodilian stare unflinching as he gazed disgustedly into the crowd of wolves before him.

Permission to skip Kincaid! (╹◡╹)

Donovan listens to the woman named Lumiya speak. Her words are stern, she obviously means business. So does Donovan and he’s not going to shy down from a conversation just because she has her whole pack staring them down like they’re a four course meal. He will stay true to himself and the Saints way of life,  but he also has to be care of exactly what he says. For if they get attacked, they will sustain a fair amount of injuries possibly even death. So even in this moment he chooses his words only moderately wisely.

He waits until she is done speaking, listening to all she has to say and the points she gives and he scoffs right in her face. “We have settled in the mountains. We did move when you and your little team asked us to. Maybe you should’ve been more specific. Really the relationship here can be quite simple, you don’t fuck with us and we don’t fuck with you. It’s truly that easy.” He laughs the last sentence like he doesn’t understand how she herself cannot understand that. “Even then we’re three to four fucking days  away from you, dear. Truly we’re not even close, so step off your high horse. In conclusion no, we will not be moving. If you stay away from us we stay away from you, same thing with your cute little friends. It’s really too easy to understand.”

Then as he ends his own sentence a voice he recognizes as Riley pipes up from the sidelines. What the fuck is he doing here? He thinks until his mind really processes the words spoken without shame. Shut up cunt. Fuck off to your soggy trees. In literally any other situation he would’ve laughed in Lumiya’s face and seconded his words immaturely, but when he has the entire Court against the three of them he now has the desire to beat the fuck out of the man himself.

So Donovan swings his head back to the man. Circular brows furrowed and lip crinkled. “Are you a fucking idiot, Riley?” He spits with obvious distaste to his tone. “Perhaps fucking use your brain when we’re against an entire pack.” He curses back, surely the court could see his own surprise and confusion to the males sudden appearance. “Why’d you follow us here?” He demands the male to answer.

The dove frowned at the woman when her offering was not even mentioned, that was disrespectful in her eyes as she stepped back from her kills and pressed her ivory fluff into the brindle behemoth. She was vibrating with energy but she smiled once more at the fairy queen as she spoke her harsh words, oh so she just didn't like them. Relying on once teeth was the purest form of power, those that could not back up their words with their own strength was weak and unfit to lead. There was some holding back in the little angel's mind,  shebwantes to growl but she held her tongue and chuckled soft enough that only the man beside her could hear or even fill.

Her grin grew colder as she listened to her Lord's words, she said not wish to make things worse but she had to finally speak. "What my lord is trying to say is, there is not immediate threat to you and yours as we are a four days walk from these Willows. We will not be moving simply because your find us displeasing, please refrain from thinking we are at your doorstep when we are no where near it." The girl spoke softer, gentler than her brash counterpart before they were rudely interrupted by a member she had yet to meet.

The priestess sneered at the man and gave him a growl before this expression fell to let Donovan take care of his subordinate, she turned back to the fairies and apologized. "Please take our apologies for this one's words, he does not know when to hold his tongue." she growled the last part at the injured boy, obviously displeased with his words and actions.

Just throwing a post in so I can use this for his merc trade. Ignore me.
The whole scene was rather tense; Kincaid shot a glance toward @Eleuthera to see what she thought of all this, and then moved a little closer so that he could hear better, but still stayed largely out of sight in the trees. If things came to blows, he might well be putting himself in someone's crosshairs, but he was starting to think that was where he ought to be.

This wasn't his forest, but that didn't mean he wanted any of these wolves hurt. If he'd been in a better position here, he might've thought differently, but for now, he hoped that the "faerie queen" would agree — or pretend to — to make the man go away. Then, of course, he'd suggest going someplace else altogether.

But, of course, that was not an option for these wolves.

She narrowed her gaze, peered through her lashes; she was becoming quite agitated, and the cursing and logic these creatures used made her toe the line between diplomatic and angered. How could they not understand that the faeries crossed the mountains regularly on scouting missions - that perhaps their closest ally was now a neighbor? Could she strike a deal with them? Were they honorable enough to uphold it?

She was about to open her mouth again, when, in the distance, a young man appeared. She thought she knew what to expect, but the words were perhaps the rudest anyone had ever used against her. Her whitened brows knitted together in an angry frown, skunk-like tail curling forward high in the air and swishing with agitation. Had these wolves any other way to express themselves, or was their vocabulary only comprised of stone-age language and slurs? Honestly, they were a waste of breath and intellect and she looked to Orlaith then, just about to give an order to get the man and kill him at last when even Donovan reacted appalled by what had just happened. She rose a brow at what appeared to be infighting - a great sign for a new pack that wished to disband because no one could figure out who was really in charge.

I see you are in full control of your followers. She said sarcastically, one ashen ear flicking with the anger that had now turned to a slight annoyance. Honestly, how can you promise me that, when we decide to cross the mountains to visit allies, friends, families — that one of your more undesirable members won't intercept and bother us when this is how they react in a formal, peaceful setting? She asked, raising her voice. Believe me, the one thing I want for this realm is for everyone to exist in peace, but I do not believe you can teach your followers friend from foe - innocent from offender. Not in any diplomatic way, at least. Sure, the man seemed strong and mindless enough to kill off one of his own should they offend him enough, but where would that lead him in the end? He'd be feared, not respected - and it would make him end up all alone.

What do you have to say to convince me otherwise? She asked, raising her muzzle, expecting a well thought-out response.

Orlaith pushed upwards, as she snarled at Riley, "Insolent!" She wanted to say the same for Donovan, but held her spitting fire for the sake of Lumiya, taking control. Even she knew she was not the best with words, but what was said pushed her to the edge, even with the leader setting him downwards, calling him a fool. She thought of brown wolf, as a fool as well.

"You are not wanted in the mountains, that has been clear." He wasn't desired on the coast, and thus pushed out, what more does he need to be prove so? None of the lands desire them so, and wish to be near. They would find no peace, for their past actions only meant disaster that would come to the spire. There was enemies on all sides for them, for the Court had allies, and the sea-fairing wolves had more allies- it would only be war if he did not think it through.

Even beyond does not like them, for she faintly remembered Whitebark.

not sure what the PO is now, but I wanted to keep this going since it's getting old/outdated. Riley is out, unless someone attacks him (in which case I'll respond again so y'all can get your hits in) <3 PM me if you'd like me to remove the post

As expected, Riley's incredibly diplomatic choice of words went over swimmingly.

Most surprising, however, was Donovan and Dove's reaction. The former turned on him sharp as a tack -- the latter, Riley didn't even know from Adam, and was certainly in no position to be bossing him around considering her freshly-recruited status.

Riley bristled, more offended by his own pack's response than those of the Court. They could fuck off, along with the self-proclaimed Faeries.  "I stick by my packmates, unlike you." He figured Donovan would receive the same 'welcome' he had - and mistakenly, thought he might be doing the lead male a favor by preventing him from being overwhelmed.

As far as Dove.. Riley surveyed her with the insectile contempt of someone who simply had no words, just sheer disgust. Sure, if he let Donovan fuck him, he would have had that pretty spot alongside the lead male just like she did. Of course, as intrepid as his mind could sometimes be, his tongue always lagged behind -- so Dove was spared the burning riposte of "what's it like sleeping your way through life?"

He decided then and there he had little love for either group. In his mind, this had been a failed expedition from the beginning, and him calling it like he saw it did no damage to their relations with the Court. After all, the Court had been firm from the get-go it was GTFO -- nothing he said or did, would change that. Donovan and Dove could make him their scapegoat and blame their failure to bring the packs together on him, but it would not change the reality: he was not responsible for the rotten fruits the Saints sowed -- much of it had been planted and set in motion before he ever joined them.

Feeling enormously wronged by Donovan's public call out, Riley slipped of the the rock. He would not make the mistake of sticking out his neck for others again. "You can fuck off too." Riley's tone was a burning edge; he fixed each of the wolves a wary glance before he turned around and made for the heavily-wooded copse. His interest in anything -- be it Saint or Court -- was waning, and he had a girl to find.

Donovan shakes his head at Riley. Does the guy not understand that they could get torn apart if this isn’t played out right? Donovan is hungry for blood and death, yet he still has enough of a brain to realize when he’s outnumbered. Fucking yo here could mean certain death and he’s not willing to risk all three of their lives for one of his pack mates idiotic, rash decisions. Now this doesn’t mean the Grandmaster sides again the male, he’s only trying to preserve them so that they can get the fuck out of here in one piece. He’ll have to talk to Riley later. Explain to him exactly why it’s a bad idea to risk the pack like that. Though he is concerned when the he storms off, he mentally bites that he’s got bigger fish to fry here.

He’s surprised that Lumiya’s own hot-headed warrior hasn’t blown her top yet. Yet even then he scoffs. “I could say the same of you. You’re cute little warrior over here attacked one of my own even though he backed down. You get from us what you give. Remember that. If she can’t keep herself right, and that goes for any of your wolves, then we will meet you with the same energy.” He shrugs like nothing can be helped, his voice of soft but indifferent as he speaks. “It seems I can’t convince you at all. We’ll leave the Willows and return south. Leave you be. It’s obvious you want to remain enemies. I’m sick of running in circles. Now if you’ll allow us, we’d love to leave.” He smiles faux sweetly up to her. If it were any other situation he might have actually looked charming. “No one got hurt, I say that’s a perfect fairytale ending, no?”

I think 2 months is a reasonable enough time to wait for a conclusion and a bunch of the participants are inactive or not involved anymore.  I chucked in a fadey post, but if people want to conclude themselves they can unarchive. Riley's officially out.

Riley didn't look back.

He could hear slivers of conversation, but the further he limped, the less clear those murmurs became. A few times he had the terrifying thought he was being stalked -- every time he stopped and craned an ear behind him, he was met with nothing but the unnerving giggle of wind fluttering through the trees.

Nah, fuck them and fuck those soggy kids too. Riley didn't care for diplomacy anymore than he cared for backbiters and the faeries. While Seelie Court and the Saints made whatever tentative plans their authors intended, Riley slipped off into the woods and was gone.
