Founding howl you guys! Everyone is welcome to join in! @Fionn @Bridget @Deidra @Orlaith @Aoibh @Eleuthera @Caw @Stryx @Dante @Pestilence @Cassidy

Perhaps now was as good a time as any. With the looming threat of the saints, her tired yet restoring body, two freshly picked pixies and the possibility of war in the air it was high time for their court to become official. They'd worked hard, had kept the borders fresh and food plentiful and she'd even found love among the willows. Love for her court and faeries, for the beautiful forest they lived in and an especially handsome mouse she'd happened upon by chance.

It was the break of dawn and the rays of new-day sunlight were poking through the willow leafs eagerly. The forest was already alive with bird and frog song, the stilling of crickets and the soft rumble of the waterfall in the distance. The queen fae was at the clearing among the flowers and herbs, Loinnir on her back. She turned to him, asking; Are you ready? But of course the bird could not answer. It was more so because she didn't feel ready herself, but then again, this felt like the most natural thing to have happened in weeks.

She lifted her muzzle and let out a song for her faeries to hear - a song of victory, perseverance and dedication. A song that said 'thank you, now join me in this choir that will solidify our claim'.

Orlaith, as per usual, lounged around the borders with a dreadful flare of fury within her olive-colored gaze. She had been more alert, more hasty, and more of a raging flame now that there was more of an issue coming forward. The scene of war seemed to draw near anyday, and then the many encounters of unknown wolves, even others, coming toward the willows. Not all were peaceful, but some were one's wishing to join.

Their claim was being flocked to by many, and there was a satisfaction toward that, and seemingly so toward the Queen as well. She hollared out a call of victory, a song to the fae's of the willows, and while not being a singer, she still cheered along. A spark amongst, deep and proud with a warriors call as she brung a mighty howl.

Perhaps it was unwise of him, but Kincaid never could help joining in a song when there was one inte the air. Besides, he was happy for the willow wolves and keen to show his support.

The ruddy male tipped back his own head to sing hallelujah, hoping the fey wolves of the woods would not mind him celebrating alongside them.
* Kincaid is obviously not a shibe in a cowboy hat. Just a regular, reddish wolf. His avatar is just a silly spiritual portrait.

elbow-deep in a sea of pale purple and blue and violet flowers, caw lifts his head to the call, ears twitching curiously. it is not a call to fight! it is…a call to celebrate. to declare that these willow groves are faerie territory. yes! caw can do this. he does like to sing.

flowers abandoned for now, caw obligingly tips his head to respond. there is a roughness, an accent, to the edges of his song that shapes it into something not entirely unrelated to a crow’s call – and it is not even all the fault of vrána on his back, singing along.

It was perhaps the best greeting Dante had ever recieved. Just as the young man had begun to reach the border, stumbling slightly on tired limbs, the voice of his songbird echoed in his ears; there was nothing like it, her voice. The sound cut through his exhaustion, numbing his achey muscles and bringing a buoyancy to him suddenly.

Before he knew it, as though his legs had already known their destination, Dante was weaving between willow boughs and the little singer was in his sights. He felt effervescent as he approached, lining his shoulders up with hers before throwing the young woman a proud, awed look. He'd known it from the start- but now, more than ever, he could see it in her eyes- she was doing big things.

All else might've been wrong in the world, and still Dante couldn't see a universe in which he wouldn't be standing here, in solidarity by his partner's side. With a startled chuckle of pure merriment, Dante lifted his maw to the sky and joined her song, all fatigue forgotten and instead replaced with pure, unfiltered joy.

Her heart had been crushed by the betrayal of the man she had helped join their court, her wings drooped along her spine as she thought of renewing her stance on strangers. This ordeal had reminded her why she had always been so hesitant with outsiders when she was apart of the Faerie Court, why her mother always lectured her against fraternizing with them.

It was the scent of someone she cared for deeply that helped her open her periwinkle colored eyes, allowed her to raise her head as she began to move forward. His silver coat shimmering in the new dawn light that streamed through the graceful willows, his wings seemed to vibrate just as the howling began. This was their world now, this was what their call would say. She moved closer, her eyes only on him.

Her heart quickened in response to her close proximity, her cheeks grew hot just as she made a bold statement. Before she rose to the call she slipped her body again his, their fur mingling closer than ever before. She did not quite understand these feelings she had for @Fionn but she knew  she wanted to be by his side in this. For a moment their eyes met before she lifted her nose to the heavens and added her voice, singing her joy and love for this moment alone.

Eleuthera laughed deeply as she watched Kincaid join the court howl, even before she! It was such a silly thing, to watch him be a part of the faeries and protect her life within them. It was even funnier yet how the faeries had taken her in so readily, and how easily she committed herself to them. Eleuthera did not think it was a coincidence that previously in the willows dwelled the Seraphim of Elysium, and today it was the Faeries of Seelie Court. Though things were always changing, it was amazing how things yet managed to endure.

Eleuthera was happy. Happier than she had been in a long, long time. For everything that was being challenged by her living amongst a pack, and also defending the pack against its enemies and fauna intruders, it felt as though everything was also falling into place. She missed Séamus and Elysium dearly, but she ushered in this new era of her life with utter abandon. She tilted her lips to the sky, and sang as proudly as she could.

nobody, not even the rain, has such small hands

and they called it puppy love...

Beautiful music, and then the touch- Deidra slinking alongside him like a cat, sending shivers down his spine and goosebumps up his arms. How had he gotten so lucky? Ruby eyes flitted to her face rather nervously, and held there momentarily as they swam in each other's gaze- but soon she lifted her song up to the heavens, and he threw back his head to join her, establishing this new court as their home.

A joyous song rose from the Willows, scattered at first, ultimately finding cohesion as more voices were added. It sounded almost like a dirge to Stryx; the Order was a place of silence and solace, with the raising of voices only to mourn. She listened, presuming the fey would forgive her the presumptions taught within another life. The physician would not raise her own voice to this song but she listened attentively, and when it xame to its natural end Stryx would mutter a small familiar mantra to herself, then carry on with her work.

aoibh raised her head from the weaving grasses a bit far off from the willows and the festive song that glided in the air. tilting her head in unison with them all, the choir made themselves known as the fawries of the willows. aoibh was somewhat glad lumiya had done it, for she was was intrigued to see how their leader would deal with their newfound court.
