Joining
He grew tiresome of roaming alone and inflicting hurt without reason besides his own desires.
He wanted a purpose. A pack to fill the void left by his missing Family.
So when he happened across some strongly marked borders in a place that looked well defended.
A valley in high mountainsides looked inviting at first, but the scent put him off.
But the borders were strong...
Children were afoot too, he could smell it.

Though he doubted they'd like him standing on their borders so blatantly. Just gazing in like a store-window puppy.
Providing he'd not already been greeted in whatever capacity, he called for some attention from whoever ran the shit here.

Skoll, in fact, did not run shit here. However, when there was a call at the borders belonging to no one within the pack, the tall boney man surged forward at a speedwalk to go find it. The being that was the cause of distress to the borders. Another raven, not striking in form. Ears forward, tail down, Skoll approached with an even step. Heterochromatic eyes watching intently.

Though he did not speak, or make a sound. Should another wolf from the pack appear to speak, but this stranger Skoll did not trust.

keeping injuries vague <3

her children were older now, often under the watchful eye of ursus. astara grew braver in her excursions, leaving them for longer lengths of time when it suited her. today a howl pressed into the fishbowl valley, and astara picked up the scent of skoll coursing it.

she strode to the pair with an unusual calmness, studying the raven-pelted male with equally dark eyes. that feature, more than anything, drew her attention -- for they appeared like twin voids in his slim skull.

should earp allow it, astara would course her nose the length of his body -- intrusive, but entirely assertive as she did so. it was her right as leader to inspect him thoroughly, see where he had been and what he had eaten and who he smelled like (better not be merrick).

should he decline, he would earn himself the rook's ire -- but for now, she made towards him with ears cupped and eyes clear with interest.

He's currently got no notable injuries, perhaps some nicks here and there
One came.
Fast and alert. Skinny -- not a good sign. A scrawny mutt which earned a dismissive gaze, for he was the only one he'd seen so far.
Should they all be in that condition, he'd take his services elsewhere. He certainly will not pledge himself to some pack that can't even feed themselves.

Rain softly started up again, a sprinkling of water that spat around them.

Another came. Female, new mother.
Dominant and also dark in her appearance. Where the other male was tall, she was poofier and he suspected broader than the man he'd come to know as Skoll Almir. She bore down on him in slow motion, though with no anger. Interest.
She offered no words, so neither did he.
She wanted to investigate for herself, and he let her. His tail gave a few soft waves to show he was fine with his inspection, and tentatively sought for the scents that would be clinging to her fur.

Blood, death, youth. A scent born from a pack of savagery -- perhaps something he could get behind. Perhaps they'd not object to his wavering desires.

The wordless raven woman appeared and Skoll didn't move from his post, and only watched as she appeared and sniffed down that guy, something about her movements was intimidating, though one could say that about Skoll's own movements at times. Like a machine.

He didn't offer any words of his own as the female inspected the stranger at the borders, but he distantly wondered if he should speak. Like before.

oh haha I meant Astara!! She was in a fight recently  <3

the duo shared a mutual inspection; astara held her tail tense, as the male’s moved softly against his hocks.

he seemed hale, and carried no scent of affiliation on his pelt. his mein pleased astara — he was alert but not arrogant.

she stepped back, allowing skoll to close the distance and appraise the stranger as he saw fit. astara would watch her packmate judiciously; should the interloper meet skoll’s approval as well as her own, astara would turn to trot back to the rendezvous — expecting the duo to follow.

Oh yeah, crap, lmao sorry

The inspection from the overruling woman was finalised. Her scent held many interesting ones, and many he'd like to explore.
One notably a mate...A power couple perhaps?
Perhaps not good for him. But her mate wasn't the man he first saw. No, certainly not.
She pulled away from him, her perfume trailing from her as she ambled back into her territory.
He gave the side-eye to the other nighttime male.

Did he want to approach? Ah, he'd just have to do it whilst walking. He didn't want to lose sight of this...rather inviting woman. Who held herself high and mighty, ready to battle the world. Alluring. Bright-eyed.
He followed like a child he'd once invited into his company.
Fathomless about what would meet him.

Skoll did end up approaching, but only after the raven woman beckoned them into the territory. This lack of words Skoll had to like, but at the same time was deafening. Silence in Ursus was like silence in hell. Though that would mean Ursus was hell, when it was not.

He did sniff at the stranger, but for only a moment before deciding to follow behind. Skoll had a rushing mind, which meant being prepared for anything. Even an attack from a random stranger, though this one didnt appear an idiot, so the dark man doubted anything of the such would happen.

last from me <3 fade with next post or so?

astara paused to watch skoll. the male's inspection was shorter -- but he gave no quarrel, and so, astara continued on the redpath.

she howled once they were within territory so that all might know of their newest recruit to come and test him -- and then, glancing back once to earp and skoll, astara slipped off in a loose trot for tumbleview. her puppies would be hungry -- she would not allow earp close -- but he was near enough the rendezvous that he could follow any scent he wished, and go wherever.

Ofc
Quiet.
Almost silence save for the ambient environment.

He put his nose to the ground, exploring his way as he followed the woman to the rendezvous.

Others came and went, in more or less silence.
He offered his name to a couple.
Astara ambled off, and he didn't seem invited to follow. So he rather wandered off to acquaint himself with his new pack and territory.
