Forward dated to the 4th of August. Tagging @Polaris

It had been a couple of days since Āzoniol's entry to the Teekon wilds. Things didn't have much of a pretty start as one can imagine from first impressions — the pale brute was in an unhinged, restless, and relatively lethargic state that resulted in his increasingly failing health becoming visible to those around him. Eventually however, he'd found a bit of peace and would begin to settle down in his new surroundings — he even began gaining back the weight that was rotting away. That wasn't to say that Āzon was all better now, but at least he didn't look like the feral skeleton he was before.

Āzoniol's journey now carried him from the forest greenery far behind and towards more rocky ground — one could only assume this meant there were mountains upahead. His large paws made it a pain to climb up the terrain but he eventually made his way towards a flattened surface to rest. There was something eerie in the atmosphere of these mountains, as if he could sense the dimming presence of life. Mabey it was the dying trees, but oh well. As long a he had a place to rest his aching muscles then being picky wasn't an option.

He sighed and layed his stomach onto the ground below, resting his large cranium between his paws. Despite the dying foliage surrounding the place, It was... actually quite tranquil up here...

super sorry for the wait and ty for getting this up!! being vague due to this ongoing thread.

she is skittish, on edge, anxious...it's an awful way to feel. sleeping came difficult to the dove now, the slightest of rustles dragging her from the lightest of fretful slumbers with a racing heart and twitching limbs ready to use pumped adrenaline to flee or fight. how disgustingly disorientating, and to think this was what wolves put delicate creatures through day after day. what an awful, awful place this was.

but at least...at least she was angry. she clung hard to this, nurtured the flicker, coaxed it to grow and thrive into a potent inferno. if he'd hoped to break her in that sick little mind of his, he'd failed. yes she was sore, unnerved and on edge but she was enraged. determination was refreshed, invigorated in her decision to branch off and create something of her own. crooning doubts permanently silenced in the wake of fiery virtue. that bastard would fall, and she'd make sure to create absolute hell for anyone else who sought to lead such a nefarious existence.

but when she spots a pallid figure lingering in the distance, even sprawled upon the ground as he is; her heart shudders within the rapid rise and fall of her pale chest. limbs coming to a hasty still and uncertainty tickling the fringes of her mind, polaris stalls. it is not him...she is aware and yet, dammit she's scared. jaw grits, ears falling flat against her head whilst toes press hard against the sodden earth.

confliction screams within, urging her both to turn and depart before she is spotted and to overcome such agitation and approach like she would've...yes but, the fact that she did just that last time is what...what caused this.

as the rain hums that same sweet symphony it had those days prior, the spectre could find it in her to only stand and stare; motionless in her conflict.

Lol no problem! :D

At the feeling of something wet dripping on his head, he scrunched his muzzle and look up towards the sky — rain. 'Maybe I should seek shelter soon if it gets any worse...' was what he contemplated on doing for a second, but the fresh smell of the rain and the feeling of it softly padding his crown made it difficult to actually leave.

Yet despite this, peace was interrupted.

His audits would swivel to either side of his head at the sound of something other than rain puttering against the rocks — foot steps. Āzoniol sat upon more elevated land, was it a mountain lion that was trying to sneak up on him? Some other ambush predator? Whatever the hell it was, it couldn't be good news since they're clearly trying to remain silent.

The prince quickly shot up from his seated position and snapped his neck the direction of the pawsteps, teeth bared towards the approaching party and claws digging into the hardened ground beneath him. "Who's there!?" vocals thundered from the large brute's throat, almost mimicking a lion's roar. However when he turned to see who it was, it was not a lion, but just a woman — one that was fairly smaller than him in fact. An exasperated sigh left Āzon's breath — part of him was relieved to know that it was not a mountain lion. But still, who was this woman and what was her intent on silently watching him?

"You were spying me, why?" the northern prince demanded an answer. His molars no longer visible as a threat, but his stance never faltered. "State your name."

although the thundering demand is certainly not appreciated in any sense, it is exactly what the dove needs as it jars her free from the treacherous embrace of spiralling dwams. flinching at its obtrusive assault upon shivering ears, she is sparked to straighten and narrow suspicious eyes close upon him as the stab of his own dual coloured glare finds her. and upon noting the source of who had disturbed his precious beauty sleep, he just sighs and polaris' jaw grits as quite the uncharacteristic scowl prowls across angular features. is she written off just like that?? a cursory side glance all that's needed to assure him that there was no threat in sight, no just a 'dumb little girl' with a staring problem. an irksome tick on his shoulder, was that her level of prominence in this FORSAKEN SHITHOLE OF A SOCIETY?

these stupid, cocky, ignorant men. her sides heaved as a resounding ache groaned through her jaws at the force in which teeth were forced to press down upon each other in her rage. why exactly did this perverse world grant strength and prosperity to those sickening bastards? what did it gain from seeing them twirl this power between cruel fingers and tear down  lives and dreams with a flick of their wrist? and how, how could they do it with such nonchalance? what exactly did they think when they killed and toyed mercilessly with the lives of others?

why didnt he fear HER dammit!!

deaf ears receive his words as her sodden tail lashes through the sprightly rainfall. she'd show him- she'd show them all---

a shaky step forward, teeth bared before she stops again. she'll reach him and do what exactly? dirtied and battered as she is, she wouldn't last a second- even when she'd been at her prime health she'd been useless. if that other guy hadn't stepped in she'd...fuck.

she glares off to the side, shoulders hunched and tail flicking its distress at shaking heels. moments pass before she fixes a stare of ragged desperation upon this pale man standing upon his throne, a few rough breaths making their rounds before she'd shout "why aren't you scared of me?!her chest aches, uncomfortably tight as lips peel back and she snarls "WHAT MAKES ME SO WORTH WRITING OFF AS NO THREAT TO YOU DAMMIT

was she really nothing but some punchline to one of the world's really bad jokes?

Instead of answering his question about her intentions, the cream-pale she-wolf stepped forward with what seemed like malicious intent, making her sharp white ivories visible to him and all. Looks like this was going to turn into a nasty fight sooner than he expected it to, so it was time to get into position and prepare himself.

She was much smaller than Āzon and therefore, much more agile and swift on her feet. The sire would need to be extra attentive of her movements — ecspecially considering the possibility of being thrown off the mountain's ledge. And if such a thing happened, there would be no turning back. Lowering his body and pushing a hind leg backwards in the earth, Āzon tightened his shoulders and bellowed a deep snarl towards his opponent that told them to come forth. If it was a fight she desired, then there was no point in backing down.

Yet....things begun to take a perplexing turn. Rather than attacking Āzon, the strange female stopped in her tracks for a few seconds as if contemplating her own thoughts; "Was she suddenly changing her mind? But why now?" He mused silently. Then, out of nowhere, she'd start speaking. 'Why aren't you scared of me!?', her words were incoherent, almost...desperate sounding.... Āzon ears would then flick in alarm when the fae's voice began to rise into a snarl of venom. She wasn't attacking, but was instead yelling at him for not.....seeing her as a threat?

What in the fuck?

Eyebrows furrowed ontop of his odd, blinking eyes while he just stood there and stared at the dame in shock — confusion. "Wh-What....What in the blue hell are TALKIN' about woman!?" The brute's head shook vigorously as if trying to process it all. Āzon didn't know whether to feel threatened, vexed, or simply confused by the whole situation, but was just stuck in a deadlock of not knowing what to do. He just stood there with a look of frustrated bewilderment.

If they weren't going to attack him, then neither was he — and whatever angry ramblings the young woman barked at him would just leave Āzon at a standstill. Although, it almost felt like she wasn't screaming out of aggression towards him. Rather...it seemed like more of a cry of pain....

this post is so bad sorry grahh my brain refused to cooperate

to the surprise of no one ever, her company appears utterly perplexed by the capricious outburst to have assaulted the air from the dove's twitching lips. an audible clack of snapping teeth at the stab of his rejoinder, ears slinking tight to her skull as a soft "tchis released with the shift of her fiery gaze so that she instead glares hard at the slick ground.
--but it makes its mark, sinking icy awareness into the spiralling heat of her wayward mind as shoulders fall slack and the tight grimace sprawled across slim features lapses into sullen forbearance.

fuck, get a fucking grip polaris

geez, she really wanted nothing more than to just leg it now like a snivelling coward and let that be it but, dammit, exactly that- exactly this kind of situation hands full control over to that bastard that had- had- a huff as haunches fold her into a sit, wincing at the ache to reverberate from the ugly sneer of her torn shoulder.

dammit.

how pathetic of her, mewling such foolish laments about not being feared?? hell she didn't want to be feared and letting bitter seeds at her own naivety and failure to learn proper defense grow tendrils of disdain was probably the most damaging thing she could allow to happen right now.
sitting in the rain's ceaseless caress, dejected and dirtied, the wraith would opt to merely sigh a meek "sorrythat was all she really had to offer right now, and it hung tersely in the air between them as she stared listlessly into the hazed distance.

this was embarrassing, at least she had enough of a kick left to realise that.
