All Welcome

He was sure he was on the right path, nothing had happened to make him doubt it, yet Brewster had yet to encounter any other Déorwine in his travels. He had made sure to keep within a howl's distance of both Calhoun and Chad, but if they had done the same, he could not be sure. However, he had found a scent trail; it was faint and the rain masked some of it, yet it was still recognisable. He was unsure who it belonged to, but it had that distinct smell mixed with ash, and so far he hadn't come across any other territories that had been burnt to a crisp.

So Brewster followed it, taking a grand old time due to the muddy ground and his burnt paw. It was healing, slowly but surely, but he was still cautious about putting any extra weight upon it. Blast, Fréobearn's skills would be handy right now, he thought with an agitated huff.

Still, he eventually managed to hobble all the way up to where the trail seemed strongest; right at the doorstep of a pack. It seemed they had the same idea, to join a pack while they regrouped and recovered. Oblivious to the fact that the ones who had joined had left not too long ago, Brewster let out a howl for any family members within earshot.
