Moonspear when she was bad

Just when she'd thought the rain would go on forever, it had stopped. Sialuk had woken up yesterday and had found the silence almost deafening after the near constant rain for the past four weeks. Mind you, that was a third of her life. No rain had come yesterday, and when she awoke this morning, the sun was shining, the birds were chirping, and she could feel a burst of energy surging through herself. Hurling herself into the new day, she howled a sweet good morning to all of Moonspear, happy and content.

This "good morning" howl would soon become part of her routine each day when she awoke. A reminder to herself that even when the rain poured down day after day, week after week, there would always be a sunny day to look forward to her. Not only that, but she could use it to let others know that she was safe and sound. Sure, her mother, father, and brother would know she was here, because she had slept snuggled up to them, but didn't the rest of the pack need to know, too? She decided: yes.

Now that her call had gone out, Sialuk took to the outer edges of the rendezvous site, trying to remember what her father had taught her about patrolling.
