All Welcome
autumn’s triumphant march was at its birth, but the subtle changes already made were quite obvious. some of summer’s warmth remained, slowly fading away to be replaced by frostbitten winds. he could hear the whining of aging branches as storm clouds washed overhead.

the incessant rains had seemed to slow, though guardián had noted their apparent effect on the changing of seasons. this was his first autumn, and yet still, instincts told him that things were moving with some haste. he tried not to worry about the upcoming winter, or his pending approval of both leaders, and instead focused his mind on finishing his patrol.

guardián, though barely a half-year, kept his chest puffed and his head high as he strolled the eastern quarter. let this be an easy day, he plead to any intruders within earshot, don’t do anything stupid, please.

She had wandered away from the site the children were to stay and make their base, a curious thing for the little queen to do but she had found she craved the adventure. She wanted to stretch her legs, to go find a fabled creature, maybe to play with someone she did not yet know.

It was a grey boy that caught the attention of her almost ruby eyes, they narrowed as she remembered their last encounter where he had caused her sister to cry out. He had submitted to her though, or so that's how she remembered it, so he was one of her subjects. Before her paw landed on a twig to reveal her location she stopped and took a step back, maybe she could do as her ghostly sister did..

She crouched and made her self small for once and thought of how to proceed, how she would pounce on holim a nd concur this newly made grey dragon.

each hair lining guardián’s spine slowly began to rise. his ears lifted to attention, turned out in either direction, while his eyes maintained focus on the path ahead. there was someone nearby; he didn’t know who it was, or which side of the border they were on, but could pick out their scent on the autumn breeze.

guardián continued moving, but chose to remain silent. if the intruder made any risky moves it would be easier to hear them against an empty background. cautious, but not afraid, the young guard continued his patrol.
