All Welcome
Yuèlóng's return to the island quieted the anxiety that had long ruled Luli's fearful heart. There was something wonderful about coming home, that warm feeling of excited anticipation that served as a reminder that she was exactly where she belonged.

The koi ventured to the shore that morning, her most beloved place. Gulls cawed above and Luli lifted her vibrant seagrass gaze to seek their swooping forms as they argued over a small crab, but she did not run to hide as she would've done before. No, the littlest of Huā's cubs simply observed their movements for a moment before she carried on across the cool sand, knowing now that she was safe.

Crysal clear water surrounded her paws, and Luli paused to watch the tide roll away from her to reveal a smooth surface. She did not pursue, choosing instead to sweep her stare quickly across the sand for signs of treasure that the waves might've brought.

Orochi did not go to the shore to observe nature (he only did that when Hide was around). He went there to crush driftwood, chase seagulls, and try to eat those damn crabs (he’d yet to succeed).

The young man was always active, always starting fights with something. Most of the costal wolves—aside from his friend—didn’t want to spar with him. Well, it’d be more accurate to say he never asked. Even after being here for months, Orochi wasn’t a social butterfly.

If he wanted to fight he had three options; Hide, who wasn’t here at the moment, Naoyuki, also not here and annoying, and Luli, who was standing in the water. Not his preferred sparring partner. He’d rather not deal with any more idiotic babies, but she was his only option.

Hey! he barked as he approached. You’re Luli right?

Omg @Orochi I'm so sorry for leaving this so long.  ;_;

When the water withdrew, it did not leave much behind. Seaglass eyes swept eagerly across the damp earth, shifting between small pieces of dead seaweed and twigs. Only one thing captured her attention: the shimmer of a pearl, half-buried. The youngster scrambled forward, eager to reach for it, but another wave reached onto the shore to disturb the sand and obscure her prize.

The tide retreated once again, and the object was gone. Luli huffed a sigh, but her disappointment was quickly cast aside. The koi swung around at the sound of an unfamiliar voice, and found herself staring fearfully up at a rugged and fierce face.

"Y-yes," she answered, obedient, and averted her eyes on accidentally meeting his own for the briefest of seconds.

you’re good!

Her attitude differed greatly from Naoyuki’s, but not in the way he’d hope. She was so frightened, made clear by the look on her face. Couldn’t even hold eye contact with him for more than a second. It’s admittedly satisfying.  Every wolf under the sun wanted to challenge him, so it’s nice to know some have the brains to show any sort of submission, but that’s not what he wanted to see from a trainee.

Huā wants me to train you? Orochi let out an irritated sigh. Why’d she have to pair him up with an idiot and a coward. He should be training someone like Ming. At least she’s got some potential.

..on second thought maybe it’s best if the two stay ten feet apart at all times.

Do you even want to learn how to fight?
