Spar thread!

Being so close to home had created nothing but boredom for the fire woman. She had been idly licking her teeth for some time before she finally let loose a great sigh through her nose, ready to do something about it. Valmúa was antsy. Bottled anger rested in her heart. Kigipigak had taken the only outlet she'd been hoping for when he drove Njord away. A familiar burning threatened to break free. So she strode to the rendezvous within their great circle of redwoods.
Anyone who dared stride with her in such a mood would find her itching for a bit of practice, complete with bruising.

He had not been trying to avoid his sister, nor had he put any effort into finding her. Rökkvi still intended to share words with her following her interrupting of his attempt to assert himself over the pallid trespasser, but his sour mood had levelled in the time since its occurrence. In the grand scheme of things, it felt like such an insignificant thing to be furious over.

Still, he knew it would be wise of him to remind Valmúa that he would play no part in whatever games she conjured, and he emitted a low rumble to announce his presence as he came upon her by accident that afternoon. She seemed agitated, so the ironborn paused to regard her with a cool, questioning stare.

For the record I am indifferent toward dice rolls/no dice rolls so that is your call

Who else but Rökkvi to find her in a state of excitement. She stood fast before him, pushing her shoulders and ears forward in a most obvious invitation to fight. You do not like my games, brother, she observed with silk-coated words. Though it was true that Valmúa had been toying with her siblings since childhood, she had only found new ways to get under their skin. It excited her greatly that they had grown to hate such puppetry even more, especially when it held no malice toward them.
That has not changed, but can you still best me? Because all of her brothers were bigger than her, it was common that once they managed to pin her, she couldn't get back up. Still, she had speed and surgical precision on her side. The fire sister leapt to one side and feinted, pretending as though to attack so that he might defend.
And should he defend, her plan of attack was to grab his forelimb as though to bite him hard, but her teeth would only put pressure on it for a split second before her retreat — she of course, had no real desire to harm him.

Let's roll!

She stood firm, strong, challenge clear in the way she held herself. Rökkvi regarded his russet sibling coolly, unsure what to make of the display; had an outsider disrespected him in such a way, he would not think twice in asserting himself. Valmúa had already irked him very recently, worked her way with ease beneath his hide in embarrassing him before a trespasser, and her words grated on him as she parted her jaws to speak.

A single ear flicked back, disinterest in his dull gold stare that lingered on her own sterling eyes with mild irritation. A lash of his tail supported how he presently felt about her, though it was quick to arch dominantly over his hindquarters as she moved to advance. Upper lip curled, he gave a flash of fangs in warning (which of course she would ignore) before she could lash out in his direction.

He should've known her attack would be to provoke a specific reaction from him. Rökkvi had played easily into Valmúa's manipulation on so many occasions in the past, each one meant to serve as a lesson he obviously failed to learn from. Rearing onto strong hind limbs with an outraged snarl, the ironborn reached as though to box at his sister's face in attempt to force her back, but her aim was true as her teeth closed briefly about an extended arm.

Not surprised but with anger building at having fallen so smoothly into her mock attack, Rökkvi found himself back on all four paws to veer after Valmúa as she scampered aside. Head bowed to make better use if a flatter area of his skull, his goal was to charge immediately after her and aim to deliver a rough shove to her flank, one that was hopefully forceful enough to fell her.

It worked. Valmúa knew that her brothers were not idiots. He knew that she might try something, yet focused was he on her perceived stupidity that he had apparently failed to see her act. She was so pleased that it had worked, she grinned maniacally and was quite slow to react to his movements. Though she moved to dart to the side as he did, eying his bulk, he bowled into her gut abruptly. She quickly remembered why she did not challenge any of her brothers regularly in combat.
Valmúa let out a loud, AGH, as she landed on her side. He'd somehow rammed himself into her and pushed her forcefully to her side. She flailed, kicked out at him, trying to strike him should he attempt to nail her with a bite.
All the while she tried to right herself. She rolled, but was forced against by his bulk. Unfortunately, it all meant she was in a terribly vulnerable position. All she could do was snap her teeth at the range she could hold, knowing it was unlikely to grab at much of anything while he did what he would.
