All Welcome
Any siblings? @Ensio, @Makatza, @Arius

Almost a whole month had flown by, and the unstoppable Wayfarer was ready to taste freedom. She was growing rapidly, probably too quickly for her mother's liking, and her independence shone through in her regular attempts to escape.

Bored of the cavern and its inhabitants, the little Duskfire made a bold effort to toddle beyond the threshold. There was so much more out there, surely! She'd seen Dad come and go from there regularly enough to believe that she was missing out.

Wayfarer did not look back, and found herself at the mouth of the hollow where she paused to peek out into the unknown. A narrow pathway lay before her, one that lead off into other chambers, but it wasa bright light at the end of the tunnel that fascinated her.

"After all we've been through, everything I've done,
it can't all be for nothing."

At just under a month old, Ensio was not far behind in the development of his two half siblings. Little did he know it, but they were only days apart in age. From the get go he had been a busy, active roly poly boy. A man with a goal. With a mile long list of dreams. He'd get to them all. And imagine his joy when he finally found his legs!

He was still unsteady, fumbling or tripping now and again. Discovering he could move, could cover greater distances was a boost to his ego. It fueled the flames of his curiosity. While his mother, sister and brother slept, he took the chance to sneak away from the brood. He was sick of being squished all the time anyways.

He had been out into the main chamber a few times before, but did not know it's ins and outs. He wanted to expand his horizons. As his pale head poked out into the open, it wasn't the vastness that caught his eye this time. It was the sight of another wolf, very much like himself in shape and size. Who were they? He had only ever known Makatza and Arius to be the only other pups like him. The same bright light from outside that had grabbed Wayfarer's interest, had his now too. He creeped up, edging closer to the line that divided shadow from light.

Her eyesight, though still poor, strengthened each day. Wayfarer did not at first notice the movement at the edge of her line of sight, having fixed her stare to the tempting brightness that beckoned her closer.

Boldly, the little Duskfire stepped forward. Only when she crossed the threshold of her mother's cavern did her gaze find the face of another cub. He was about her size, with a dark muzzle that made her think of Veteran, and she took a long moment to study him until he glanced away toward the opening of the main chamber.

"Rrrrr," she rumbled to him, keen to regain the other child's attention again, for he was significantly more interesting for the time being, "ruff!"

He didn't seem to care much about her, though, which wasn't ideal. She watched a moment longer before retreating once more to re-join her family.
