All Welcome
for @Tzila if you'd like :3

Imaq had not forgotten her promise to teach Tzila about curing furs, or at least compare methods. It was possible that the ruby-draped starling already possessed some knowledge on the craft and only meant for Selkie to be a colleague, a confidante rather than mentor. Either way, Imaq had been waiting for an opportunity to spend more time with the onyx war-wife -- hoping she might find a friend or at least an ally of sorts in the blackbird -- but things had been so hectic with the other women going into heat, all the preparation for the resulting litters, and Rye's injury that she hadn't had the chance to seek the shadow out.

When a morning dawned grey and overcast with clouds, the wind hinting at rains to come -- which would keep the huntress confined to the territory for once, as all game trails and scents would be washed away -- the shaman draped her own half-hide from the bighorn hunt (where Tzila had helped her to butcher and move the ewe she'd downed) over her spotted shoulders. She set off through the Caverns, sniffing out the Zeta with the pelt wrapped around her like a shawl or cape -- calling out softly in greeting when she had found the ebony she-wolf.

"...and all around was the bitter arctic cold and the immense silence of the North..."
