All Welcome
*innocent whistling*

because teya came today as an emissary from brecheliant, she told herself that seeking @Kynareth Deagon at his own borders was only worthwhile.
the land roiled with the scents of blood and children and many, many wolves.
teya wondered warily if they all wished the same strength in the land as her lover did.
dangerous, to be here; he had pups, presumably a mate.
but teya would not admit to it upon his own earth if it was demanded from her, and finally the raven tilted back her head, singing a small song to the grandmaster of the saints.

Doom music suddenly comes in from the BG

It's been a while since they had visitors, it seems.
This one called for Kynareth. Nyra answered first though, it seems.

The titan comes to the call with firm, monarchical purpose, looking upon the Raven with some mix of curiosity and I'll eat you for lunch.

"I am Nyra, Overseer and co-leader of the Saints. Why do you call?"

She expected an answer that held the assurance of alliance. If not, she'd attack. With @Lotus unable to be found, the Empress was more on edge than ever, especially with a war brewing.

Kyn doesn’t leave Teya waiting for too long. Rather, the muted excitement he feels prickle his spine at the sound of her voice singing his name has him in quite the rush.

So he moves to the borders but his blood almost runs cold at who he sees first. Nyra. Instantly his mind moves back to the time the giant shewolf caught him after mingling with Teya herself. He remembers the scuffle they had and the new marks that mare his handsome face. Then…then the even newer and nes Simmik bestowed upon him too.

Either way, he doesn’t let his surprise show. After all, he’s also doing business with Teya and her pack — and no, not all of it is Kyn being a sneaky pervert and sticking his snout up Teya’s skirt.

So as he approaches he moves with an easy going saunter, pulling up to the side of the two females. A smile shapes his scared face. When Teya looks upon him this day, she’d be sure to notice how fucked up his face is now. Cursed with the punishment of both Simmik and Nyra, along with the victory of his sacrifice.

“Now, now, Nyra.” He purrs in a tutting way. “This is Teya, leader of Brechliant. A pack on the other side of the mountains. She’s here on business, no?” He hums looking over to the aforementioned woman. He offers a secretively seductive glint in his eyes along with a wink that Nyra wouldn’t be able to see due to the way he turns his face. He also awaits her answer.

the woman that came upon her was gigantic, a driving snowstorm. teya reacted in kind, ears falling back along her smaller skull, offering a tentative wag of her tail.
was this his wife?
she was cut from the same cloth as kynareth, this nyra. overseer. co-leader. her tongue began to tangle; she could feel it happening, and felt horror start to well behind the composure of her youthful face.
but suddenly he was between them, purring a mediation, gracing her with a private look —
his face! laid open in what seemed like a dozen ways, in varied stages of healing; kynareth, still glinting with promise beneath the slashes that had cut even his mouth;
fear, now. who could harm such a powerful man? teya felt suddenly as though she was drowning;
out of her depth, over her head; who were these saints?
"yes," she said, belatedly, grateful for the air still inhaled into her body. features carefully arranged, desperation at the root of her admirable control. "kynareth speak of alliance to me," to nyra now, with a smile she hoped would be disarming.
terrified now, that she had not come to offer the redhawks upon a silver plate. "i think best if brecheliant stay neutral." they were warriors. her pack possessed the most skilled healer in two lands, teya firmly believed. "you fight. we mend. no questions."
there now, wouldn't @Bridget like that? since she was able to stay so objective, and everything.
the little raven smouldered.
"kynareth tell brecheliant leaders that saints have many medics."
teya was speaking to nyra again, determined not to let a glimmer of her true feeling for the man to show! not now —!
"brecheliant allied with many packs. access to more. i not be spy. but maybe i not see all what saints do."

Nyra narrowed her eyes slightly in suspicion. The scent this woman carried was so familiar...

Yes. Kynareth wore that perfume once. More than once, knowing him.
She let her gaze tell them both silently that she knew they were lovers by the new lady's scent, she was certain of it. But, that would wait. She'd let it slide...for now.

As Teya spoke, assuring firmly the alliance between them, Nyra hesitantly relaxed some.
The sweet smile meant to disarm only got returned with a hellfire stare, one that threatened to burn if stared at long enough.
It wasn't hatred or dislike, but more or less just how Nyra had shaped herself to be.

"Yes, we have quite a few healers here. But our Blades outnumber our medics for the most part." The Empress responded with a light chuckle. Tense, this interaction. But that wasn't entirely irreversible.

He can tell Teya seems the slightest bit nervous around his iron war maiden. It’s only natural. Nyra is quite intimidating when she feels the need to be and is even intimidating when she tries not to be. Though, when she settling her gaze on him, he cannot see the surprise that graces her beautiful face at the state of him — all the healing wounds that lie across his face. Most surprisingly made by the ones he cares most for. It’s a punishment brought upon him by them — Nyra and Simmik. He deserves it. Yet, he his a fickle man that thinks with his dick just as much as his head and even now, after his scolding by the two females, he looks at Teya longingly. Oh yes, he still wants her, but should he? Only time can tell which decision he chooses. The right and the wrong answer clear as day.

Still, he listens to the two before him. Listens as Teya explains more details on what their alliance could entail. He is disappointed to hear that he won’t be getting information in exchange, but surely Brechliant could compensate for them in some way. His disappointment doesn’t shine through his face or eyes, he keeps them neutral. He has many years and much experience of doing such things, though he hardly ever cares to.

So when Nyra is the last to speak Kynareth takes his turn with a soft inhale of breath. Gazing first to Teya, he speaks.

“That’s fine.” He hums evenly in regards to her pack staying neutral. “I agree to the terms. I would also say that you don’t make it horribly known that you’re allied with us. Just in case. Don’t want to cause conflict between you and your existing allies. We’re not extremely liked.” He hums the last sentence with a deadly smile full of mischief. His face does become a bit softer then, much more genuine and less intimidating. “But we do treat our allies right. That, you would never have to worry about, dear.”

He carries on anyway. “It’s true, we have some skilled medics as I said, but we are primarily fighters.”

Now, to say Kynareth isn’t getting tense energy from Nyra would be a lie. He senses her linger glare and odd stare she sends his way. He chooses not to acknowledge it. Only a second later does he realize that she’s probably giving him that dirty look due to the fact she might recognize Teya’s scent from the time Nyra caught him messing around with her. Still, he tries to continue formally.

“Do you agree Nyra?” He asks looking towards his Overseer and glancing at Teya to see if she has anything else to say as well.

nyra knew. teya could not have explained how exactly the sensation felt, or how it had suddenly dropped upon her, but she realized suddenly that she had her paws upon a dangerous path. yet kynareth's words did much to loosen her tension.
he would not be angry, it seemed, and accepted her terms. teya did not think of it as a true alliance, and thought that eljay would have a sore time if these wolves brought any harm to the caldera. but she did not speak these things, only nodded gently and sent her attention toward nyra.
she thought less that this might be his wife; the pale giantess did not seem held in any sort of thrall. unlike teya, who had to work to keep herself from looking toward the brindled grandmaster again, forcing herself into the role of kind and respectful emissary to the strath.
nothing to say, only a silence until nyra responded.

She was still furious with him. She hadn't let him sleep inside the den for days but demanded he sleep outside where she could be sure he wasn't off breaking his promises again. Meanwhile, she waited for her anger to diminish even a little bit, but it never did. She was so tired of his shit. She had left her pack for him, given him three healthy sons, and had been loyal to him and the pack. To repay her, he had promised her one thing and done exactly the opposite. She could tell he felt guilty about it all, but then he always did. He would make his selfish decisions and then come groveling to her, expecting her pity and forgiveness; not this time. She would not forgive him so easily, not without actions to prove he was really sorry and actually feared losing her.

The children had just settled down for a nap. They were getting so big that the den was just big enough for the five of them, so she had settled outside, blocking the entrance as she liked to do. Her head rested peacefully on her front paws, but she was as hypervigilant as ever. Her gaze skimmed the area for movement as her ears listened to the sounds around her, her brain taking in the information to decide if there was a threat nearby.

So far, things has been quiet. But that didn't last long; a call from the borders reached her ears and she lifted her head up. They called for her husband, yet the caller was a stranger. Instantly, she got to her feet. She glanced back to the children and once she was sure they still slept soundly, she trotted off to insert herself in whatever was happening at the borders.

As she drew near, she realized that both her mate and Nyra had already arrived. The harbinger strode gracefully into her place beside Ky, her gaze icy as she looked over the woman at the borders. She wondered who this wolf was. Maybe she wished to join them. Or maybe she wished to die. Regardless, she let her gaze remain on the stranger as she waited for more information, offering only a stiff nod in greeting. What is this all about? she asked when she decided she didn't want to wait. She wanted to be brought up to speed now. Her eyes lifted first to Ky and the moved to Nyra as she spoke. Then she settled them back on the woman, the coldness never leaving her gaze.

Nyra's maw upturned into a malicious grin in some subtle manner. She registered the flit of realization that crossed Teya's face.

Of course, if Nyra hadn't caught him, she would've been suspicious, but not knowing.
The Raven speaks a bit more, and faintly, the Overseer hears the approach of another. Simmik is there, now. This makes Nyra almost cackle ominously with glee. Surely, Kynareth is sweating heavy now. If he were human he might've shit himself.

The Empress answers with a tone almost as cold as the Harbinger's own gaze. Though the coldness isn't directed at Simmik like it had been in the past "This woman is here to talk of our recent Alliance with her pack, Brechielant."

Nyra turned her gaze to Simmik then, a flare of knowing in her eyes that she willed her fellow fiery packmate to catch: this woman and Kynareth bedded together.

She could always say it aloud...something she considered maybe a tad too late.

Teya, seemingly acting normal enough, albeit a bit shy seems content to wait on Nyra’s answer. Though, said answer is prolonged as he hears footsteps coming up to his right and an oh so sweet and familiar scent to catch his nose. Simmik. His ears shift and his head swivels in her direction, eyeing down her cold eyes and impartial expression. Fuck. He offers her a soft smile then, as to not seem suspicious.

Though, just as he’s about to explain, Nyra takes the helm and now, his gaze is directed towards her. The Grandmaster even notices the sly glance she offers his wife and his eyes darken with a hardly veiled threat. Haven’t I suffered enough?  His eyes say back to his Overseer.

Surely, Teya would notice his fiery glare to the battle hardened war-maiden. He doesn’t allow himself to tense though and Simmik would not be able to see the way he threatens Nyra with golden orbs. For a moment his mouth is pulled straight, into a grim and deathly serious line. That is until he forces a smile then, as well as forcefully brightening his eyes as he glances at Teya and then to Simmik.

“Theirs is the pack I went to not long ago, my love.” He informs Simmik easily. “We’ve secured an alliance through easy terms. Teya here has agreed to turn a blind eye to most we do and patch us up if necessary. Since they have many experienced medics and are quite closer to Ursus than our own dwelling. In return, we do not involve them in our affairs as much as possible and we have a secure trading ally for our medics.”

When he finishes explaining his eyes are stuck to Simmik’s to gauge a reaction, whether it be good or bad, it doesn’t matter. He only looks away back to Teya to confirm what he’s said with a softly questioning glance that silently asks ‘did it get everything right?’. His expression leaves room for her to interject if she does not agree upon anything he said, or if she wants to discuss new terms as well.

the tension did not dissipate, it only deepened. teya felt herself sudden thrum with a harshly felt nausea, one that welled into her throat and bittered her tongue. the taste of metallic terror as yet another wolf arrived.
where nyra was a storm, this one was a pillar of marble, draped around muscular curves, the powerful grace of the woman among the ravens. she was no more warm than that, smoothly gliding to kynareth's side, and —
the mouth of the beast, yawning open to display high mountains of teeth.
nyra, speaking, and teya could not help but to see the exchange of hellflame stare into the sunset fire of the second woman's own;
and then kynareth speaking, and she knew it, she knew it in the way that he kept his eyes trained upon his — his wife?
who else commanded him so? not her, stumbling into this den of crocodiles.
teya chilled from nose to tailtip, cloistering herself long enough to nod gently at kynareth's explanation, belated wave of her tail;
she needed to run

Things felt strangely tense. It was more than the normal there's an outsider on our borders tension. This felt more like everyone knew something that she didn't. Instantly, she was on alert, afraid that she had missed something important. Her shrewd gaze raked over the lithe woman as if trying to find something she hadn't seen before; her nostrils flared as she drew in the stranger's scent again. She turned it over in her mind but nothing set off any alarm bells. The tension around her leaked into her joints and muscles, making her more rigid that she had been initially.

Nyra was first to answer her question, pulling her from her paranoid obsession. An alliance; nothing on the surface appeared nefarious, but the look the overseer gave her was odd. She was trying to tell Simmik something but, unfortunately, the harbinger could not read minds. All the look did was add another layer of confusion and uncertainty to the situation.

Ky elaborated, giving Simmik the terms of the alliance and informing her that this woman's pack was the one he had visited recently. She grew suspicious then, not able to help but wonder if this was the same trip where he had fucked around on her yet again. She could feel fury scorch the inside of her chest but was careful to keep it from her face. She had no real proof of anything yet and besides, she was starting to think a more covert approach to her husband's illicit behavior might be more appropriate. Maybe she would find this Teya later, on her own, and gather more information. And if she was correct in her suspicion, maybe she could befriend her while actually plotting against her. She could use her to hurt Ky as much as he had hurt her. The idea doused her rage. She had much to think about.

Her cold eyes zeroed in on Teya then, sensing fear from the woman now. And that's all my husband agreed to do for your pack in return? Simmik asked. Neither Nyra, nor Ky had said anything else about their side of the alliance, aside from someone to trade with who would not meddle in their business. Medics were important and their time was valuable—surely there was more to the agreement.

She noted Simmik's confusion, then Kynareth's serious face. A warning, a baffled and hurt question in his gaze.
Had he suffered enough for being a fuckboy?

Hell no. He needed to learn when to be loyal to other things than his loins.
But, Nyra couldn't bring herself to spit it out now. What would it destroy between him and herself?

Not something she wanted to test. Not here, not yet...

As Simmik spoke, asking of the terms to this alliance, Nyra shrugged softly and all spotlight suddenly fell with malicious intensity upon Teya and Kynareth.

Your move.

Yes. The Grandmaster is a known fuckboy, but he would rather not ruin his marriage with it. Though, he finds this change — the one where Simmik doesn’t let him fuck whoever he wants — is definitely a change indeed. He’s still transitioning— he tells himself. He’s a weak man in that regard, always so swayed by the beautiful and interesting.

So, he’s grateful that Nyra doesn’t outright say it. For not only could it ruin his marriage, but this fragile alliance as well. Simmik would be sure to interrogate and scare off the sweet-hearted, but stern, Teya. So to his thanks, Simmik’s face betrays nothing. He takes that as a good sign, but worry still eats at him — Simmik is good at hiding things when she puts her mind to it.

She goes off to question Teya then. He almost feels bad for the sun kissed woman — the center of a tension filled attention. So he interjects softly, but not outright demanding Teya not to speak.

“She’s allowed to bring up any other terms that she would like. I’m all ears and am willing to consider them if you two are.” He hums casually just in case there were other stipulations that Teya would like to add.

Then his, as swell as everyone else’s attention slide back to the woman of the hour: the Brechliant Raven, slipping her a sympathetic look in a way to maybe comfort her and perhaps convey an apology for the two females cold demeanor.

one. two. she focused everything on her breath as the pallid wife swung the dragonfire stare upon her. and nyra scorched the other side of her face.
there was nothing the brindled man might do or say that would remove the horrible dart of scrutiny that unraveled her thread by thread. more than dangerous; harpies, and kynareth himself beneath their claw, and willingly!
"no other terms," teya spoke out, voice steadying the more she kept her eyes from kynareth. "we negotiate. your husband —" — oh to keep the fucking steel from her own voice was a wonder! "— at first he want information. that brecheliant be spy in return for fighters. i say we not fighters. we not start wars."
jealousy began to spread its green wings in the middle of her explanation; she faltered, and paused, but recovered without an eyeblink.
what was she next to this woman?
had she only been a plaything? while he with an entire wife?
teya told herself that this had not been confirmed, and yet it had been in her heart;
she was angered, galled, sickened, fearful —
"i say we allied with many packs. know many things. i ask no questions, we heal, and we not spy. remain neutral."
pride in her pack and their principles was beginning to comfort teya, and she stood somewhat taller, still dutifully building a wall of incensed stone between she and kynareth's gaze.
