All Welcome
Tags for reference, but if anyone is looking for her from Brecheliant in this direction, I am open to her being found as well! <3

Somewhere along the way, she had taken another very wrong turn.

The woods had twisted and turned and made her shift direction every so often, but she hadn't thought much of the consequence until the forest spat her out on the other side to a land so foreign to her she just about cried.

"No." she breathed. No, no, no! This was not Brecheliant. This was nowhere even close! Where she should have seen wetlands teeming with life, Jasmine only saw a barren wasteland stretching far and wide before her. Sagebrush speckled the ground, fragile beneath the blazing summer sun. The air rippled with the heat, and in a mighty thrust that shook her whole body, Jasmine threw her head back and screamed at the sky. "NO!"

She thought of @Diantha and her tantrums, of @Roswell and his goodness. Of @Maia and her stories, of @Eljay and his sappy way of showing that he cared. Of @Sylvie and @Hymnal and of how much she still longed to know them. Of @Bridget, and @Teya, and all the nameless faces she'd only seen, and never met. How much she longed for it all.

Maybe she should have stayed with the Caldera, but she didn't even know how to find her way back to them. How was she ever supposed to find her way back to her family now?

"what're yew 'ollerin' for then, lass?"
maggie's voice was strident and teasing as she drew forward. akashingo was growing. her bawd had made another recent acquisition to their numbers, a stringy, scared-looking thing. no doubt once she'd been fed till fat and spoiled by daily flower-baths, phayrow would induct her into their ranks.
this girl was young, far too young to be of any use to the mesa. too young, further, to be far away from parents. maggie sniffed but did not recognize anything about the girl.
perhaps the lord might be pleased if the beauty fetched a lady's-maid for satsu. "oi'm maggie. what's yer damage?"

I will snatch this opportunity!!! I love herrrr <3

No luck... and no luck.... and then.

She had not been looking forward to bringing back no news, but was trying to keep her travels towards the shorter end. Just one more night.. It could go for weeks if she let it, but she would not. Still, because she'd delayed.... she went far enough. And here she found a trace, a trace she followed until it became surer and surer. She was lost, weaving a wild path away, and as Bridget exclaimed a quiet yes! she heard the yell.

Ay!!! Back off!!! Bridget yelled as she got closer, her fur spiking defensively towards the stranger she saw with the youngster. She didn't look like she was trying anything at the moment, but her presence coupled with the yell she'd heard didn't paint a great picture. She'd come running but wasn't the first here.

And you! You are a sight for sore eyes! She didn't drop her guard, and galloped closer with a trajectory that cut somewhat between the two. But there was evident relief in her smile as she split her attention to Jasmine.

<3!

The first to meet her was a stranger. Beautiful and strange, with a mouth full of phrases Jasmine didn't understand, nor cared to answer. Others might have been intrigued. Jasmine shrank back and felt her hackles raise in defence, on the principle of stranger danger alone. With Nyra she had reacted a little differently. Nyra had been like her. This one looked lupine enough - but enough for Jasmine to shake the feeling that this woman was something otherworldly.

Before she could say or do anything, another voice hit her from behind, like sunlight streaming through an overcast sky. Jasmine spun around but did not have to turn very far before a familiar face stole in the space between her and the stranger. Her knight in golden armour. Jasmine felt relief wash through her, and she unravelled like a spool of string.

"Bridget!" she said, and just about cried again. Instead, she skittered to her saviour and offered her kisses in any place she could reach. In large part an outpouring of her great relief, and in another, to make certain that she was actually real.

maggie out!

just before maggie could get closer and begin her charade, she was warned off by the loud voice of a red-faced woman.
she seemed to know the girl, which dashed the harlot's hopes.
"'well damn the lot of yew!" maggie hissed, darting away beneath the instinctual fear of wolves.

The actual hell?! Bridget called after, but the other wolf.... coyote?!... was already gone. That was odd.

It didn't matter. Bridget dismissed her out of hand pretty quickly and turned her full attention to Jasmine, who thankfully seemed pretty darn happy to see her.

Hey! What happened? Did she hurt you? Bridget nuzzled her, checking for anything wrong. She seemed to be alright, just scared, but she was ready to listen if the girl had anything she needed to share.
