Good morning, WOLF!

We are implementing some changes to pack formation and pack management based on community feedback in this thread, as well as CM discussion about how our current pack guidelines no longer serve WOLF's community in a positive way. In the past year, we have made several changes to move the site away from complicated systems and toward storytelling as the main driving force. We are also working to return WOLF to its simple, casual, and fun roots. The following changes are meant to bring pack management in line with the rest of our policies.

1. Packs now require 4 members to form, including leaders, and will disband immediately upon falling to 3 members. The previous guideline requiring 8 characters was introduced when WOLF was at its busiest with many players, many packs, and many characters. It no longer suits our current community. Allowing smaller packs to form will also open up new plot opportunities, such as two wolves dispersing and having pups to form their family pack.

2. There are no longer any post count or longevity requirements for forming a pack. This applies to both leaders and pack members. All you require is the support of at least 3 additional characters and 10 formation threads. Prospective leaders will still need to apply for a green light before starting their pack formation to ensure the pack concept is suitable for WOLF.

3. There is no longer a separate activity requirement for leaders. With the removal of the 30 day cooldown period after being removed from leadership, it no longer makes sense to require leaders to post weekly. We do still encourage leaders to post at least once a week to help drive and maintain activity in their packs, but it is no longer a requirement. Leaders now adhere to the standard 2 week activity period.

We hope these changes will allow those who have felt they would never be able to lead a pack to feel like they now can, and we hope they help to inspire some juicy plots going into breeding season this year! As always, please feel free to reply with any questions, concerns, or comments you may have!
