All Welcome
@War @Xynos @The Listener going to forward date this to around the 12th to allow for Nyra and hers to travel without much rest? And, Regarding The Listener specifically, The Event regarding Eldritch could happen sometime before this perhaps? *eyes*

It was a little over a week that they traveled. There was no scents of packs along the coastline for hundreds of miles within the days of walking for the three of them.
But eventually, upon arriving with tired legs to the Sound, there was a mix of scents wafting from an unfriendly-looking group of islands off the coast. There was a small land bridge leading out...

The pale behemoth glanced to War and Xynos, then raised her great head and let out a loud howl for the wolves of Blackwater, though she currently knew not the name of them.

They had walked many days.

Feet were sore, mouths were dry, and tension was at a high mark.

Xynos would not be the first to complain, however. He had come willingly, so why should he have the right?

Soon enough the pale warmaiden brought them to a halt. Nyra looked to both the shadow man and her partner before lifting a call high to the air.

Who was being beckoned? This he did not know. But, he held trust and so he could only wait before the wandering question would be answered.

Meanwhile, Xynos paced. Caution was kept well and ears were held high. If anything were to dare sneak upon them, he would be ready to defend the trio.

a call rose over the waves, prideful and spine-chilling. the listener rose with it, crossing the bridge of souls with purpose in her stride. no wolf's howl carried from the sound in search of mortal ears, she felt. the beach was the gate to their realm, and all those who came seeking entry would find themselves in a land of magick.

the striking white of the woman's coat stood stark against the sands. the listener felt the breath catch in her throat. her stride lengthened, the other wolves at the woman's side ignored for now.

the queen that was promised.

you have found the druids, the listener said, hushed, as she drew close. her eyes searched the woman's scarred figure. you are the queen that was promised to us. the witch eldritch gave her life to call you here. and now you have come.

Nyra offered Xynos a brief touch of her nose to his shoulder.
An extension of comfort.

Soon enough though, a spindly, voidspun individual crossed the waters, coming closer from the islands in the distance.

The night-cloaked girl spoke directly to Nyra.

You have found the druids. You are the queen that was promised to us. The witch Eldritch gave her life to bring you here. And now you have come.

The Warmaiden's blazefire eyes widened a bit with shock. Last Nyra knew, Eldritch was part of Duskfire Glacier, not elsewhere!
But it seems that has all changed...

"Eldritch was my sister. She was more of a spiritualist than myself, though. I am Nyra. This is Xynos, and my counterpart, @War, is somewhere close by." The Queen introduced, gesturing with a tilt of her muzzle to Xynos and then looking around for War, wherever the battle-machine was...

"We seek to join your numbers. Us three are mercenaries, guardians, but will fill any needed roles as well." The wardog added.

The attempt of comfort came to be of little aid, for moments after, an unknown figure came into view.

They spoke strange words, then drew close. Too close.

Not only did he worry for Nyra's safety, but also his own. Selfish, but justifiable, given the circumstances.

Despite his own caution, Xynos would not dare place a paw where it wasn't welcome. The shadow man knew all too well that the snow maiden could fend for herself if in danger. She did not strike now, so this would give him ease.

Remaining silent, he did what he did best: be a statue of Nyra's shadow, waiting for the moment that a claw is lifted from the opposing half.

The two would converse and he would simply listen.

The travel lasted for days. On and on it went, though no complaints were made, for they had to seek shelter elsewhere. War had many hours to think, consider - Nyra had laid with another man and somehow she knew she was supposed to be angry about this, but she was not. Not because she did not care, but because the consequences were not known to her. War didn't understand fully what this meant, only that they had to leave Moonglow behind, but that had never been home either way.

She said nothing under the entire trip, she simply traveled with her mind unraveling the thoughts that had curled up into a ball of mess. She didn't realize she had fallen behind before she heard Nyra call for someone unknown. War picked up her pace and came forward behind the others. Xynos and Nyra standing side by side and a stranger coming closer - closer. War bristled. She almost growled but remembered the time they had met Moonglow alphas and how they had disliked her for doing that. Instead the gigantic red woman came toward Nyra and stood on her right side.

She heard her name mentioned earlier and there she was, as if coming out of thin air. War's tail stood alert, watching the other female to ensure she wouldn't harm Nyra. She was too close for comfort.

nyra. the promised queen, sister to the witch who had given her life to the druids so readily. the listener found herself lingering on thoughts of eldritch. she would be remembered.

she would be called the nightweaver in the stories of the druids, and nyra would be the glisterqueen.

you may rest among us. but your fate is greater than that of an acolyte to the druids, the listener told the pale queen. i have seen it. eldritch saw it as well. she did not know, truly, if eldritch had seen it. she only assumed, but the assumption was enough; it favored her purpose.

the prophet turned, beckoning to the trio to follow her. blackwater called.

Nyra felt War come up next to her as The Listener and she conversed.
The druid answered with acceptance, telling of a future beyond that of simple ranking. A future Eldritch too saw.
Nyra saw no real reason to voice her skepticism.
It would be more beneficial for her, and by extension War and Xynos, if she didn't openly question it. Or so she felt.

With an encouraging motion of her head to the both of them, she fell into step behind The Listener, watching the ocean waters as it pushed and pulled at the land bridge.

There was little else that Xynos needed besides Nyra's gesture of acceptance.

If Nyra trusted this dark woman, then he would listen to judgement and decide how much respect and trust of his own would be given over time.

Chuffing harshly, the man's tail gave a brief whack to his quarters before his feet carried him on. Though, rather than gravitate towards Nyra, he pushed outward and set some space between him and the small assembly. By this, he would act as a form of shield along their journey. If trouble approached, Xynos would be the first line of defense to fend them off, just as his natural manner bade.
