All Welcome
Set on Ursal around 10 pm. Really wanted a thread with @Morgana but others are def down to snag too ;)

The hellhound is becoming acquainted with he islands. He hasn’t explored all of them yet, but he’s pushing himself to do that too. It helps mediate the fury that scorches the depths of his mind. Pushing himself to explore so much his muscles ache from fatigue distracts his busy mind. Distracts him temporarily from his mission. It distracts him from the odd aura this place holds. It distracts him from the ghostly hand that constantly runs fingers through ashen fur.

So he stands at the base of a towering mountain — steep and treacherous — and he plans on climbing it.

So he does. Starting at the base it’s not too bad, but the higher he gets the more dangerous the walkways are — the longer it is to fall. His muscles flex and strain against the effort, bulking and contracting as he jumps to ledges, pulls himself up, and struggles to balance. His maw hangs open, panting and drooling at his effort. Bloody eyes trained on his next step. He doesn’t look down once.

His physical prowess is impeccable and because of this he gets to the top. It takes him a while, but he does it and his mind is blissfully blank. The moon shines a sickly blue light over jagged rocks, painting his striking pelt. The hellhound’s shadow casts long and ridged, curling over edges and falling off cliffs. There he stands, like god himself, at the top of the world. Muscles still strain as he concentrates on the rock he balances on.

His eyes gaze up to the moon, then down to find a dark abyss. It’s maw opening up to swallow any who lose their footing to fate. It looks hungry — alive. He has the impulsive thought to jump into it. Ending his mission early wouldn’t do though. Both he and his brother know that.

the speaker, restless even after hours of feverish work, is drawn further than she’d ever been. to one of the lone islands. a dark blot from where the druids roam, a treacherous wall of rocky teeth up close.

she stares up at it. nearly decides that this was as far as she would go. but from the corner of her eye she spots a bulky figure. he is almost as dark as the mountain he climbs. she’s never seen him before, she thinks.

curiosity gripped her. she followed the path he took. slowly weaving and dipping through the treacherous slope.

and finally she reached the top, where the figure — a boy — sat. his crimson eyes fell into the gaping maw of the earth itself.

isn’t it marvelous. her cool, even tone does not match her own fascination.

Isn’t it marvelous?

His head shoots in the direction of the woman that balances not too far away from him. Had she already been up here? Did she follow him? He doesn’t know, but her ghostly, silent form seems to have appeared out of thin air.

He allows dark, bloody orbs to move over her form. Snaking over her dark pelt and up to her eyes — two-toned in color, a stunning green and blue. This woman is important to his shadow, but does Alduin really care about appearances and his reputation? Not really. Still, he hasn’t found a reason to hate her yet, so he will remain neutral until then.

So he watches her loosely before gazing back down to the gaping mouth of the cave. “In a way.” He rumbles back, tongue flicking out to rasp over scarred lips. “Who’re you?” Comes his gravelly voice in a neutral tone.
