@Kivaluk? :eyes:
akkuma traversed the ruined old woods, hunting. he'd left his treasures behind only reluctantly, and now ached to fill the void left by them. with any luck, he would return home with a new addition to his collection. perhaps several.
this was a dark place; a dead place. akkuma did not know what had happened to it. it looked as if something had consumed the woodland from the inside out... but those dead trees still stood tall and proud, he saw.
life flickered among the dead wood as well. akkuma picked through the delicate patches of greenery, searching for treasures among them. his parents were not far; perhaps kivaluk lurked nearby, too. his brother would be a welcome addition to his search, though akkuma was too intent on it to stop to search for him.

his tasseled coat trapped heat close to his body, and so the bard had little choice than to spend his days resting in the shade, awaiting nightfall when he could roam the shore in search of some meager meal or fresh water.

but he was still terribly bored. sleep wouldn't come, not in this weather, and so the dog'd taken to testing his voice.

vocal warmups, sounds repeated and stretched and condensed, pitched and rumbled. he was doing them then, sat with his back against the blackened trunk of a stubbornly growing sequoia.

"dou - reh - mee - fah - sou - lha - see - dou." he sang, alternating between low and high for each sound.

"dou - see - lha - sou - fah - mee - reh - dou." and his voice descended into as deep a tenor as he could reach.

not trying to get in the way of kivaluk, could be a cameo if nobody goes to investigate
