All Welcome
tags partially for reference but open to all of the family. <3

The rabbit-skin woman had watched her son transition from baby to child, though it still wasn't any easier this second time around in her journey through motherhood. Now that he could count nearly two moons, @Fjall walked and talked (though this was still somewhat a work in progress). His fur had begun to lighten and shift into a color somewhere between her own and @Kjalarr's pelt of snow -- with a dash of Ink's warm, gilded tones of autumn fields. Her boy had weaned and spent much of his time exploring the Forest, either at the side of his Amil, his aunt @Keyni, or the ostmen himself. There were others too, no doubt, in their extended community of family. Times when the cloudberry found him babbling her stories to a patient @Makan. Or came across the tiny tracks of her youngest child interlaced with @Wilwarin's own.

There were times it brought tears to the paintwolf's eyes just how very much her children were loved. Just how lucky she was.

Eakkiä was strong enough now to make the short journey back to the Spine, and Lótë recovered enough to carry him when little legs failed. She picked the way back to her first home slowly, murmuring a soft explanation to the songborn.

"We go to see your Ajâtsuk. My sister, your second mother. You have many other siblings in my old home to play with there."

these tags also for ref!

lótë was here.

kukutux left @Ariadne and callyope; she thought that @Stratos and @Mojag might be with @Rodyn or @Kigipigak. she called to @Aiolos, saying that she would go now, and on the way she stopped to murmur to @Sakhmet that her sister and secondwife had come up from her village to visit.

moonwoman raced to the borderland, and smiled with great joy to see that her sister had come. she was not alone. the new little hunter, fjall, accompanied her. the duck embraced the cloudberry with great delight and then bent down to see the child.

"this is village moonglow and we are all your family," she said to him, then lifted up to regard the painting-wolf once more. "my spirit is filled with happiness to see you."

Fjall -- beloved and full of joyous wonder -- kept close to his mother as they ventured on his longest journey yet. The boy’s little tongue lolled, his breath coming in great puffs, but his eyes were wide and filled with curiosity; he looked around them, seeing friends where none truly existed. There were new rocks and leaves and grasses that all spoke to him, singing their welcoming songs, calling him closer.

Though he wanted to investigate every inch of new ground that they covered, the songborn remained shyly glued to Lótë, content to be carried when his pace grew too slow for their trip.

He walked now, in their last leg, invigorated by the energy his mother exuded the closer they came to Moonglow. Ajâ'suk? He tried the word carefully. Sister of mother. Second mother. More siblings! It was all very exciting for him. Why far 'way? he pondered aloud.

Just then, a pale wolf appeared ahead, and though his tail wagged with excitement, the boy crouched between his mother’s legs with an anxious whimper. He was silent as the moonwolf greeted them, burying a sheepish grin into Lótë's foreleg as he was spoken to directly. He peered up at his mother, looking for reassurance as his thin tail whipped back and forth between his legs.
