evermore was getting too old for this shit. here she was again, years after leaving these wilds and already back searching for something more. in a way, she has lived with some regret that her life truly has not amounted to much. she had no hearth for children, no husband or wife, and no land to call her home. the only thing she has over her family in lightning ridge is that she's at least not a coward. that's about it though.

the tawny female trudges through the taiga, noting the overcast and cooler weather. she knew better than to leave the safety of the place she knew when winter was going to be coming. evermore could bite just about anything or anyone at this point.

Urzba stumbled along, incoherent. A fever raged in her body and she seemed unable to see straight. Unsure of where she was or what was going on, at the scent of another wolf, she immediately grew defensive. She whipped her head up from having it down low as she dragged her paws. The sudden jerky head movement made her feel as though she were spinning, and she stood and growled a pathetic whimpering growl at whoever was in front of her.

having scouted the area for the gang to hunker down, colt was familiar with the scents of who and what was in the area.
these two were unknown. the rogue skirted through the undergrowth until his path emptied near theirs. he was careful. something was off about them.
this was confirmed by how the second looked: confused, whining. colt caught his breath. hydrophobia.
any cowboy'd seen that before.
colt crouched in the shadows, red eyes darting between them both. this here was enough for the gang to pull up the stakes and leave right away.

evermore was not expecting the other presence of wolves in the taiga. and while she thought about the poor soul who caught her off guard, she instead saw that the tables were turned. something seemed off about this one who stumbled and growled towards her. though, her annoyance was weighing in more than her own sense of safety.

this would be a fatal mistake.

evermore would return the growl, unaware of the man who stayed within the shade just out of her reach of vision and caring. instead, her focus was urzba. she takes a step forward, growling her own tune and trying to force the other to reconsider her choice. it was stupid and blind anger that drove her.

"have at me!" she would snarl out to the other woman, tail lashing and ears pinned.

Urzba did not know there was a male here, too. He was skirting the shadows and she did not notice him in her sickened state. All she knew was the woman before her, antagonizing her. She saw her through a fever haze and in her mind, the woman seemed monstrous, her features distorted in Urzba's gaze from her illness. High, dangerous fevers can make one hallucinate, and she was certainly hallucinating now.

She was too sick to fight much, but felt threatened nonetheless, and continued her warning growl. But at the woman's shout, she lunged forward, snapping at her face.

Evermore may PP Urzba. IDK if you want rounds for this fight or just want Evermore to get bitten once and move on. Do whatever. Kill Urzba if you want after she bites Evermore.

the clash was enough for the rogue.
colt briggs hightailed it out of there, never so thankful to be in flight as he was now. a scrap was one thing. this was another. 
he did not stop until he made camp.

the other she-wolf snapped at her face and this drove evermore into a rush of aggression that felt unfamiliar to her. she'd fight her entire heart out onto this woman and she made sure to throw every piece of dignity she had left out the window. evermore had nothing to live more. to live this life without anything to prove her presence -- it was a disgrace.

so teeth would clash and blood was drawn. evermore would be lucky and manage to hold the woman down in a vice-like grip along her neck. there was no remorse when she drained every bit of air from her body. and despite the struggle, she'd not let go until the body went limp.

and evermore would step back, gristly and covered in the blood of herself and the woman. gasping for air, unaware that her blind actions will lead to her ultimate demise.

but for now, breathless, the woman lets out a forced laughter at her minor victory over the other. 

this was the start of madness.
