All Welcome
Winter was upon them, only barely. It would be here, sweeping in on frozen wings to steal their breath and their warmth, and leave ice in it's wake. Ash Paw woke as the dawn broke along the frosted morning. The light dancing along the tiny ice droplets that layered the cool grass beneath her feet. She stood, breath smoking in the air. Her toes so cold, they burned.

Blue eyes alight upon the sky and the sun. As it bathed her in a new light, to bring a new morning, a new dawn and everything in between. She would collect the bodies of small prey animals today. For both ritual and caches. There was a thrumming in her bones. Now was the time to strike, to act, to build. Come spring with new lives and new moments, there would be need to pass from a healthy winter.

Onward she went towards the sun, it blazed her coat of many colors and lit along the dips and shadows of her ears. Nose to the ground. She went in search of the many small creatures that made their homes in the tall grasses of the nearby plateau.

it wasn't that he was worried. no, definitely not. he was only all the way over the mountains now because he had... other reasons to be there. good reasons. great, actually!

and if those reasons had him having the time to maybe keep an eye out for a certain someone's pale plumage-- well, then, nobody could call him clingy.

the mouse made another squeak beneath his talons, pulling yonder into the now. with palpable grumpiness, he stabbed his beak into the rodent's eye socket, effectively silencing his meal's protests.

what a crappy mood he'd been put into.

Ash Paw continued her driven lope through the forest. Eyes on the different foliage, the small pests that fell underneath the trees. It was both comforting and ominous here.  So it fit both her gods. Without further ado. She bent her pert nose to the ground and began a search.

Lithe body curving and tilting through the trees and branches. Catching small things as she went a vole, a mouse. A few squirrels eluded her, but she continued on her mission. Small things to litter the sacred stones. Small bones to give to the gods.

he was in the midst of grumpily swallowing a tail, when he spotted the patched coat pass trough the trees.

the pang of anxiety was immediate - and alleviated by flapping himself up to the nearest branch. the most effective medicine for dread ( that would stop working the moment wolves learned the art of climbing. ) .

from up there yonder observed the animal, bit of mouse front in talons of one foot. he thoughtfully pecked the meat off as he watched the quadruped in what he assumed to be a hunt.

a bone - largest one in the front leg - slipped out the raven's bill, and fell to the ground beside the hunter.

yonder froze.

Ash was oblivious to the creature above her. She heard the movement of course, but with a flick of an ear, she moved on with her life. It didn't sound large, and she was more concerned with immediate quarry. Creatures she could gasp on the grounds.

Though suddenly a bone fell from great heights to land next to her. She stared at it, with surprise and then slowly blinked up at the tree tops with large eyes.

Uh Thank you. This will go well on our stones. She grasped it and placed it with her other prizes and then continued on. Surely it was Atka or Sos that had gifted her the bone.

the wolf thanked him and yonder was shocked enough not to speak.

he watched the animal pick up the bone, then continue past the branches. his neck nearly twisted like an owl's how he tried to track its going.

when the wolf was more sound than a sight, yonder looked back at the mangled mouse in his grip. gears turned within his brain.

he dropped the rodent, and left.
