Tying some things together for my own later reference <3
To Bjarna she had given her bitterness; to Tauris her guilt; to Arric her fears; and for herself, Reverie kept the rest. The fragile hope and the resigned resolution that she would simply keep moving forward. She did not want to return to her self-assigned duties, to the bloody carving of her place at Lestan's side or the acrid sips of loneliness from Jakoul's den-site. But it wasn't so hard. It wasn't so bad. Maybe that was the real difference between then and now, the separation in her mind of the time before she had learned that it really was best to take care of herself properly.
Nothing sucked less. It was just easier to deal with the things that sucked. Quicker to dry the tears and be done with feeling so intensely that she could do nothing else. Maybe one day she wouldn't even need to do that anymore. It just took time, she thought.
Until then, she would just have to keep dusting herself off and trying again. So she went to check on Jakoul, and she swallowed her anxiety.
