All Welcome
Today, Lilitu decided to go fishing.

There was a stream that flowed through their territory, an offshoot of the greater river through the taiga that eventually cascaded down into the sea. It was fast-flowing, for the most part, but there were several spots that pooled more slowly and created a safe haven for fish.

Safe until she came along, anyway. Well—it had been a while since she'd fished. But Teya had been a good teacher, and she tried to summon those skills now as she sat by the water, waiting for a shadow to linger near enough to snag.

It would be a good day if she could make a catch and bring something back for Chacal. Her babies were hungry, no doubt, and the woman needed all the nutrients she could get.

Perhaps she'd even gain a fishing partner, should someone come by. One with more experience. God willing.

Eti mostly stayed near his manman and younger sisters, but today he'd left th3m for a brief respite. He moved through thr pack lands, hoping to find somwthing to occupy his time. When he came across Lilitu.

'ello! he called out cheerily and put a smile on his face. He was still determined to make everyone happy that he could.

An interruption turned her head, but it wasn't a disappointment. She smiled at the boy's arrival, lifting her chin and giving him a happy chuff in return.

Etienne! How are you? she asked, standing to greet him. He seemed wise beyond his years, with everything that had happened. He remained upbeat throughout.

Once he'd met her by the streambed, she cocked her head and asked, Are you any good at fishing? I'm trying to get a good catch today.

She thought it was possible a seawolf born and bred would be good with the fish. Hopefully.

Etienne greeted her kindly and with a smile. He was doing what he was supposed to, making sure everyone was happy, even if his heart was broken. It was what he wanted to do. Make sure everyone was good.

He chuckled. Lucky for you, Suzu loves seafood so yes. I can fis' quite well. 'unting well dat be T'eo's t'ing.

He moved closer to the water and looked through it. You be wanting fis' or crab?

She was happy he even asked. She shrugged and stepped back, letting the young man have his way of the water.

Your choice, Lilitu replied, grinning. You've got the skills.

And she did, too, but she wanted to see a seawolf ply his trade in the water. She sat and watched the young man at the water, cocking her head. If all was well, they'd both eat today.

If not, well. . .

They'd live. Sapphique was sound enough.

I should have rolled, but we'll go with it :D

Etienne studied the river. With a quick twist of his paw, he flipped up a nearby rock. Then waited for the dirt to move. There was one of the gray brown things. So with seasons of learning to hunt for his sister, he speared the creature right below it's head with a claw and tossed it to the ground. A rock in his maw and he dropped it on it's head and it lay there broken. He pressed that towards his companion.

It would take more than one to fill her belly so he put himself to use. Finally grasping about 7 more and then a big fat fish. He followed the shadows and struck with teeth. Laying his prizes at her feet with a smile.
