All Welcome
BEARCLAW VALLEY
SUNRISE
PARTLY CLOUDY
  NO TAGS! All welcome :).
First thread! Manon is very skinny from lack of food.

Frigid. Manon's dark coat frilled against the light breeze, chilling her skin. It was what woke her from her slumber. That, and the crest of the sun over the dual peaks of mountains. Sunlight cut through her lids, irritating her, and she opened them against her will. Another day, another challenge to find food. It seemed that's all she did these days— scourge for food akin to a local vulture. It embarrassed her to be in such a shape that she was. She was better than this.

But there was no reflection of how difficult it was. Each time she attempted a hunt, she'd been rudely interrupted by a much larger predator, and Manon had no desire to fight so hard for a small meal. However, things were different now, weren't they? Her stomach ached, growled from the depths, and she knew that she was down to a fine line.

So the maiden stood from her groggy slumber, stretching her limbs, and started through the tall blades of grass to search for a meal.

Internal scream!!! I was just looking at her earlier today wondering when she was going to make her first post

Andr has been awake before the sun. Hunting within the nearby Wapun Meadow. The local pronghorn was his prey that day, and he would have been enjoying one for breakfast that day if he hadn't underestimated their speed. His first strike at the animal had been a surprise. Landing a bite to the front leg of the creature. As he released for another attempt it flung its hooves into the air, making Andr momentarily take a step back. From there it ran, much faster than Andr was expecting, towards the Bearclaw Valley.

The entrance to the valley was rugged, filled with rocks and large boulders. A terrain the pronghorn knew better than Andr, allowing it to gain the lead and slip into the valley. Looking up Andr could see the shape of the walls surrounding the valley. He hated the thought of leaving the creature injured and in pain. He had failed at the start, but would not leave the job undone. Seeing that it had limited exits, Andr took a breath and recalculated.

Nose in the air, then to the ground, tracking the smell of pronghorn and blood.

There was a rumbling of discontent and internal drama within the creek. @Lestan’s howl had perturbed the man, but he allowed his distant cousin the space and peace he needed to tend to whatever ailed him internally. @Reverie, however, was at best a creature he would perhaps never understand—and when her own howl had went out and her scent drifted past the borders, Akavir also allowed her the same leniency, but not without a hint of worry.

So while he did not follow after the young couple, he instead strode inward of the valley, away from the mountains and with consideration. He could not go far—@Jakoul and the pups would be waiting his return, but he had promised Riverclan an elk hunt and would need to make good on his word soon.

So when he came within the walls of a small vale enclosed and two strangers—he gave pause, pale champagne eyes studying them both for a moment and their oncoming interaction. Perhaps, this was a better find than elk—for the creek also needed to flourish, and it would be a lie to say he wasn’t looking to bolster their numbers.

Particularly when two of his own had gone AWOL.
