Tupilek is a Kermode, or Spirit Bear. His fur, instead of being black or brown, is white, purest along his body but darkening to a blonde tone around his neck. In the autumn, when his body prepares for winter, his blonde neck fur thickens, resembling a torc. Overlaying this golden band is a black radio collar. His eyes are lighter than most bears, a dark hazel rather than brown or black.

He is larger than most West Coast black bears, weighing at around 350 lbs and 40 inches at the shoulder, and 75 inches from nose to tail.

His long life is evident; he is riddled with scars, both small and large. Most notably, his right ear is missing. There are a lot of scars on his muzzle, giving it a rough and cracked look.
Biography
Born in the Great Bear Rainforest, Tupilek was notable from birth for being the only Kermode cub out of three. As he grew, his uniqueness only grew as he was less interested in learning how to fight and hunt, but in the flora and fauna around him, the natural wonders and the histories of the bears, cougars, and wolves that lived in his habitat. When he came of age, he left his mother, accompanying an old stag moose who became his mentor, teaching him more than his mother and the other older residents of the Rainforest ever could. But eventually the moose succumbed to his age, not before revealing one more secret to Tupilek. This event has changed him and given him the motivation to continue teaching, even as age wears him down.

He has been in Teekon Wilds many a time throughout the years, but never before has he seen the place so populated. While some time ago he wandered through, he has returned, perhaps to make some difference.
Relations
Several mates, children, grandchildren, and even great-grand children spread throughout British Columbia and the Pacific Northwest. Many a pupil and rival as well.
