Moonbrook had a very typical childhood. Reared beside her brother in a communal setting, she learned to deal with all types of personalities and expectations, but never really excelled at anything like he did. She was more apt to the social side of pack life, and acted as the jester on more than one occasion, eventually shoehorning her into the traditionally omega position. She never squabbled or fought for a higher rung on the ladder because she was always well fed after the majority of the pack had their fill. The circumstances didn't give her reason to try and achieve a higher social status because she was perfectly happy just where she was.

But the summer famine hit them hard. When autumn rolled around, the pack decided to cut the fat to save on their caches and give the newest litters more chance at survival. She was run out of the pack by her brother after a failed group hunt and hasn't looked back since.
