Blacktail Deer Plateau and this constant form, unlike the others

ying regretted the distance between the sisters, but knew that it was a necessary evil. she did not feel bad for having pushed them toward a pack; the weather was quickly changing for the worse. they wouldn't have made it on the coast, not on their own.

if they were expecting an apology, they should have know that they wouldn't be getting it. ying howled for both @Huā and @Mei, summoning them to the territory's heart.

Huā arrived first. She'd been lounging (or moping, perhaps) on the edges of the territory, but as soon as her sister called, she made her way over. Even though she was still annoyed about having to live in this ugly dump, she wasn't angry with Ying. She was angry about the situation. She understood her sister's logic, she just didn't like the fact that it was true. 

As she arrives, she gives her sister a friendly chuff of greeting, tail wagging slowly from side to side. Huā hoped this meeting would be lighter than their last two. After all, they only had eachother here.

she had no idea what to expect upon hearing ying's summoning call, but she reminded herself of rìzhào's advice to live in the moment. so, with no expectations, she followed the howl's direction and stopped before her sisters. a curious glance was sent ying's way, and while she didn't speak, there was no malice in her gaze.

the twins approached with haste. behind her, ying's tail kept an enthusastic wag as she looked between the pair. i just missed you guys, she said, smile nearly splitting her maw in two. being somewhere new with no one around, she knew that it was harder on them than it had been for her. 

what do you guys think? of this pack, i mean. she wanted to know how they were feeling. guessing based on body language would only take them so far.

Just after Huā, Mei arrived. The girl gave her sister a playful greeting, bumping shoulders with her if able. As the three settled, Ying asked... what they thought of the pack. Okay. Maybe not such a joyful conversation- for Huā anyway. 

She starts with "我也想你, 姐姐." Tail which had wagged slowly from side to side came to a stop as she continued. "我只见过两个人. 这个领导者, 我喜欢他. 可是小男孩, 我不喜欢." She sighed, figuring names were not necessary. Ying surely knew each, and if Mei hadn't met the little boy, she was lucky indeed. Finally she tacks on, "好是好, 可是我想海滩."

the warm presence of her sisters melted mei's icy demeanor away. huā gave a shoulder bump in greeting, & mei returned it with a soft smile & a light sway of her tail. she turned to ying as she admitted to missing them. huā voiced that she felt the same. 和我一样, she warmly seconded. ying went on to ask their thoughts on the pack, & mei's smile faded. huā spoke first, seeming overall indifferent.

小男孩? she asked, out of the loop. her sister's verbiage denoted shared knowledge of who this child was between the two of them, further piquing her interest.

to answer ying's question, much as she didn't want to, she admitted, 我让自己稀缺。从我与狼的一些互动中，似乎有些狼……好吧。但是我很想去海滩，但我仍然不信任他们。

the touch shared between sisters brought about a short-lived jealousy. ying tried not to think about it, instead focusing on mei's question. there's a boy here and he is so rude. again, where were his parents? was there no one around to teach him basic manners?

i miss the beach, too, the huntress admitted. a sudden rush of emotion came over her, but she fought to keep it hidden. maybe we can take a trip to visit. the three of us, only for a little while. it would do them good to have some time to bond.

Mei returned her greeting with a smile, and Huā's heart warmed. Sure enough, the priestess m had no familiarity with the boy. Ying answered her question with words that pretty much summarized it. Though Huā added her own comment of, "这些外国孩子不守规矩." 

Mei voiced concerns of distrust towards the people, and Huā gave a slight nod at that. Sure, trust came with time, but certainly none of these people had gained an ounce of hers so far. Ying pipes in, suggesting that they visit the beach. Her emotional moment went unnoticed by Huā, the siren a little too out of touch with feelings. But the suggestion sounded good. Huā nods. "我要去. 美, 你呢?" She asks of courtesy more than anything, knowing Mei would agree too.

sorry for the slowness

mei huffed, & a smile tugged at her lips from her sisters' snarky comments about the boy. she didn't miss the longing in ying's tone when she mentioned missing the beach, nor how her posture deflated just slightly. her suggestion surprised her, & she perked up. huā asked if she also wanted to return to the beach, their home, her sanctuary. mei's smile morphed into a bittersweet shadow. 我确定你知道我的答案。我希望尽快。

they were in agreeance, then. i'll tell aningan about our plans and then we can head out. it'll probably be best if we go before it gets too cold. the coast transformed in the winter. tides rose and grew unruly, sea life often froze on the shore.. ideally, they would make it before the worst of the season appeared.

Unsurprisingly, Mei agreed. Huā shoots her a glance, grinning at her expected response. Ying, as usual, set the tone for the conversations by suggesting a plan. Going before it got cold seemed reasonable, and Huā too considered the effects of the weather. Best to be off soon, then. It sounded good to her. "好." Came her curt and business-like response, though broad smile and wagging tail portrayed her true emotions.

mei nodded, finding ying's plan solid enough. her heart fluttered as she fantasized about being with the beach again, sending her body abuzz & her mind adrift. her tail thumped softly against the ground as her smile spread. with nothing to add, she kept to beaming in silence.
