All Welcome
set today

There was an interesting scent to the Ridge; not a pleasant one, but one that she had never smelled before. Sulfur. She ambled around the area, which was littered with rock formations that piled up in places, and in other times, the ground was smoothe, but showed lines as if it had once been flowing. What she didn't realize was that she was walking on a dormant volcano, peacefully slumbering through the winter. Not until a light puff of smoke drifted in her direction, tinged with the same sulfuric scent.

She looked up, to see not so much a lone peak, but a ledge which was likely a part of the volcano's mouth. There was little movement in the ground beneath her feet, and the softwood forests in the area were lush and vibrant; indicative that the volcano likely hadn't erupted in quite some time.

She prowled through the woodlands, made curious about the area by the potential it might one day again erupt.

hope you don't mind me & bobcat! <3

bobcat ventures beyond the borders of the rise, the last time stays close to the forefront of his mind. shey's bloodied and broken body; the retreating form of sovereign as she runs: from justice, from retribution. from punishment.

he has not forgotten. has not forgiven. he holds this personal grudge close to his chest; cradling it to serve as a gnawing reminder.

forming his consideration that outsiders could not be trusted.

the stench of sulfur causes bobcat to jerk back in a recoil; lingering stale and rank in the air. it is almost enough to force him to retreat back to redtail rise but the sight of the girl he has dubbed 'blondie' in his mind catches his eye.

a rumbling chuff is given; meant to grab her attention.

both very welcome!

It was interesting that plants had grown back so thick in the minerals left behind from the last eruption. The soul would’ve otherwise been very hard had it not been for the ash that’d rained down, giving sprouts a place to root. By now, generations of trees had grown to replace the last that’d been knocked down like matchsticks, and those toppled before also help feed the ground.

The smell wasn’t pleasant, but the air was cool, and the scent wafted only when the breeze lifted. And even with that scent on the air, she caught the scent of a packmate. One who smelled of the forest, and of Augur and New Snow.

Lilia sought him out and greeted him with snuffles meant to tease the fur of his ear but also to let her gauge his well-being. They weren’t far from the pack, but far enough for him, she guessed. Still- he was safe with her. She chuffed and gestured for him to follow along with her as she continued to range.
