@Cicero :p Futuredated a bit to whenever Astrid's wounds would've healed a little.
Finding her brother appeared more difficult now that she was actively searching for him. She wanted to play again, and hoped he'd be up for it. She missed him dearly whenever he was not around and often found herself feeling lonely even with her other brothers and family. Her sanity had been stolen away by her sweet brother, and she had let him without hesitation. She loved his every move, breath and heartbeat more than she did the rest of the world. She paraded around with her scars of love in clear sight as a married woman would do with a diamant ring.
For now though, she felt tired. She settled near a tree where she sat down, covered in snow yet not at all cold. Where could he be?

Sheogorath had busied himself little with the children of Nemesis and Kove, like Cicero had. Sheogorath was not sure why he had been so uninvolved, but then, it was probably something to do with Cicero's silly obsession over his brother. Damien was interesting, but to Sheogorath mostly because he was so unobtainable. Yet ultimately he was the biggest risk to everything, a liability and a risk Sheogorath wasn't willing to take.
While he walked through the Woods, Sheogorath happened upon the girl as she sat there. He noticed her healing wounds, and found himself curious for their cause. He stared at her for a moment, but didn't ask about the wounds. Instead, he referenced to her fur by saying, "What happened to you, kid, snowball exploded on your fur?"

She did not sit there for long on her own, the sound of approaching footfalls claiming her attention sooner than she did the small frame of the male she vaguely remembered. He had hung around Damien at the meeting, she believed, but never had either of them searched the other out. His first comment proved that it was perhaps for the better. Astrid knew she was above average on the beauty scale, and did not like being made fun of because of her quite unique coat pattern.
Her bi-colored eyes stared into the male's own, but she did not lift herself.
What happened to you - went sliding down a snowy hill on your belly? She could play his games. Her accent was not very thick, but it was undeniable that English was not the only langue she spoke.

Sheogorath knew what he could expect in retaliation, because it was just too easy. He wasn't exactly the picture of beauty, especially since the famine — no thanks to Cicero for sparing food out of his mouth to Malice and her children — and even before that he had been an oddball at best. He grinned at her haughty reply, though thought it no wonder that she would reply in such a manner.
"As a matter of fact, I did. Decided I didn't want to look regular anymore. It's a hassle, though. Have to slide down every morning, and I'm back to looking boring once spring comes around." Sheogorath grinned as he spoke. He could play this game all day, and was curious to see if she would find another insult or end this now.

Her eyes slid over the male's frame that was anything but in good shape. How did he manage to walk looking like this? Could he even fight? Astrid doubted it, and yet could not look away. He reminded her of herself - an unusual coat pattern, weird eyes and the wits to insult. She guessed she liked him, at least he had character. She could appreciate that.
Lies and insults - is that all you have, Ipik? She questioned him.
I guess your eyes are intriguing. She added with a tilted head and a sinister smile. It was the tilt of her head that made the marks on her chest visible as well, something she cared little about.

He just stared at her with an amused smile when she asked him if lies and insults were all that he had. They were not, of course, but it wasn't as if Sheogorath was about to write down a list of all the assets he possessed so that he may win the respect of a little girl. He cared little for her, and besides, he had a feeling that it would likely impress her more if he did not choose that road.
Soon she admitted that his eyes were intriguing, and he may have responded to that were it not for the revealing of the scars. With humor in his voice and the grin still on his face he queried, "You like it rough?" Because he wondered what could have caused such a thing, and he felt that approaching the subject without seriousness might make her open up about it; if she cared at all about it. Perhaps playing with siblings or another adult that got out of hand? In these dark woods, who knew, though right now Sheogorath could not come to think of an adult that would harm a pup so deeply without a profound reason. Well, not Nemesis' pup, anyway.

One white eyebrow raised in a questioning look, unsure if he just did not want to reveal his skills or if she had summed him up pretty well. She went with the latter, feeling that bragging was a thing that fit the male well. Besides, she was not interested in his story. It had been a comment of mockery, not an actual question - perhaps that was why he did not answer and instead asked a question of his own. This one though, she knew to be serious to an extent.
Yes.She answered simply, staring at the scars the other carried with him as well.
And you?She asked, just a little interested.

Sheogorath hadn't expected her to return the question, especially considering his scars were a bit more well-hidden than hers. There was no denying that he held many of them, but most of them were hardly noticeable underneath his scraggy fur. He supposed, though, that one with an affinity for such things might be more adept at finding them; and his face had become more adorned with them, where his fur could not hide them so easily. "Very perceptive," he said, not answering her question directly but the words along with the twinkle in his eyes saying enough. He said nothing more, simply looking at her with an amused look on his face. Maybe some day he would give he what she wanted and she could do the same for him — but he did not feel that today was necessarily that day, for him.

Still looking at him, questioning his sanity and her own, she awaited an answer. What the Brotherhood had with not answering questions clearly and directly was lost on her, but she supposed it made for a nice challenge. They were a weird bunch - all of them, and somehow that made more sense than them all being as sane as any other. Luckily, she had become quite good at reading silent expressions - having two brother who barely talked, it was only expected of her.
Who are you?She questioned him, noticing neither of them really knew who the other was. At least - she assumed he didn't know who she was, and she definitely didn't know him.

One of the things Sheogorath had in common with his counterpart, with whom he shared his body, was that he loved games and riddles, and gathering information on others to store away for later use. She asked who he was and although he knew that she must be one of Nemesis and Kove's, he wasn't so sure about her name.
As for the answer, well, like most of his answers it did not come easy. He smirked as he replied: "The prince of madness." There was a twinkle in his eyes that revealed the truth behind his words, though he would not necessarily call himself mad. Cicero might call this part of himself such, but Sheogorath didn't think he was mad — just unpredictable. "Most here call me Cicero," he added, which was not the entire truth of the matter, but neither was it a lie. Most called him Cicero, even if it was the name that they had given his counterpart and not his own given name. "And what should I call you?"

Despite her having been promised to Damien (without her knowledge, might I add), not many knew her. She spent her days mostly with her brothers - fucking shit up without a second thought. She in particular kind of liked... "playing" around, as the man in front of her must have understood by now. It was terribly exciting to know that this man, despite his intelligent way of talking, probably had no idea of who she was.
The prince of madness, he called himself, though he looked perfectly sane to Astrid. Then again, the usual in Blackfeather Woods was not very normal for the outside world. Did he know much of the place behind the borders? Just as she was about to say that "the prince of madness was no real name", he gave the word people called him. It was a foreign sound, and she wondered if it stood for anything particular; like her own middle name.
Astrid - or Nyx, whatever is to your liking. She nodded, acting as if her name was not something to be simply worshipped. "yeah, I'm named after the goddess of the night, no big deal."

Sheogorath grinned broadly as she introduced herself with much pride, revealing that she was named after the goddess of the night; a thing he already knew, of course, from when she said her name. It was as he had thought, one of Nemesis' children, but he hadn't bothered to memorise all their names yet. He spoke very little with the current dark master, although he always told himself that he should change that. It would be good to have allies on both sides.
"I like Nyx," he said, deciding it was shorter and more peppered than Astrid. Astrid sounded like she was supposed to be a good little princess, when clearly she was not. "I am named Sheogorath secondly, and if you want to, you can call me that. Not many do — but I prefer it, really." He could not suppress a grin imagining Cicero's face when he would be called Sheogorath the next time he saw this child; if he ever did. Sheogorath hoped that he could keep himself here longer this time, although, of course, fun was way too tempting, and fun, well, it tended to piss on these little parties of his.

Astrid had yet to learn about Blackfeather woods' interesting family trees and long, dark history. She only knew of their complicated religion and her father's language. Little did she know there was much more to the dark woods and not much she could do about it. Of course she hoped that one day she'd be ruler of it all, without Damien by her side, but for now she tried to focus on getting to know her packmates.
She smiled at the man in front of her.
Me too.She wasn't lying, not really, but the name brought back memories of her time with Damien. He had told her so much and had even acted as if he was sort of interested in her - but in the end, he just left her. The filth.
Sheogorath? Kind of long, isn't it?She noticed.
How about Sheo? She proposed, not one to waste precious air on such a long name.

Nyx had a certain spice to it. It was peppered and short, just like Sheo. He grinned when she thought his name too long and suggested Sheo. He remembered tricking Desna with the name Sheo, and could not help but wonder if that was what had truly brought him out, once, when Cicero deviced that plan. Yet it also seemed from that moment Cicero had become different, less fun, because he no longer carried both halves of the total along, but only one. And he? Well, luckily, he'd got the fun half.
"Sheo's my personal fave, too," he said with a grin. Then he wondered aloud, "Are you into poisons? They can open up a whole new world of hurt." He grinned knowingly, because he knew — he had done it, he did it. Not so much lately, with the harsh winter following up on the ravishing famine that had wrecked him because Cicero had to go and keep food from his own mouth to give to Burke and Malice's children. But soon, when spring'd come around the corner. Soon.

Astrid couldn't lay a paw on what this Sheogorath truly did or who he was. He seemed off - strange, but certainly a guy to hang with in the future if he was into the same kind of stuff as she was. It was terrible to think these thoughts, but since no one was really keeping an eye on Nyx, she could do whatever the fuck she wanted to do. Mother wouldn't talk, father was busy, all her brothers hated her guts and she had no friends to speak off. To be honest; who would blame her for turning out this way?
She was surprised and yet not really that the man liked the shorter version if his name. It kind of made sense since he also preferred "Nyx" over "Astrid". She slightly tilted her head in question, wondering what in the name of the Night Mother he was talking about.
Poisons? Tell me.She almost ordered.

Sheogorath licked his lips as she asked him of poisons, thinking about Cicero's abuse of them. He, not as much, though he had used them at times. But his experiences here were usually so fleeting that he preferred to use his time optimally, and not in the same kind of haze he usually looked through from the back seat.
"I take that as a no," he said with a sparkle in his eyes. "I don't have much of a stash left anymore, but there's some plants that can hurt even in winter. We could look for some, if you'd like." He wasn't about to give her the textbook answer to 'what are poisons'; this one would be way more fun. He remembered when Cicero'd put poison ivy on his wounds — maybe hers were still fresh enough to try, even if the effects'd be less heavy in winter.

She would've rolled her eyes at him, were it not for the fact that he had gotten her attention with the mention of "poisons". While she knew of the word itself, it had little meaning to her and she had yet to figure out what it truly meant - in the eyes of this creature, that was. He continued, though did not explain, something that annoyed Nyx. She liked things to be reported - stated exactly as they were, no exceptions and no small talk. However, this annoyance did not show - not even the hurt she felt when mother ignored her or her brothers that did not appreciate her efforts to keep them safe showed on many occasions.
Very well, I will search with you.She said, straightening herself out before, quite regally so, joining his side.
What exactly are we looking for? What kind of plant? She asked, expecting a full, exact answer to be given now that she had agreed to his little "hunt".

It was as if she had just decided that she would come, but he knew that she had decided before then. He would not have asked and offered if he had not already known that the answer was 'yes'. This was perhaps one of fewer things they had in common, he and his host, for he remembered a conversation with another youth about sampling poisons.
She was quick to ask what they were looking for. It was harder to discern in winter, but with the many trees growing in the Woods it was never very far. "It grows onto other trees. It is a plant that will slowly grow across its host. If there is too much of it on the host, it may kill the tree." He just hoped some day he would be able to get strong enough to do that to his host. "It will look dead and grey now, but it will still sting." If she'd touch it with a place as sensitive as nose, paws or mouth it would probably still create a rash. Though it wasn't any of those places he intended to suggest.

She followed quietly, attentively searching with her eyes as she took in the information given. A plant, dead and grey, growing on trees. THAT COULD BE ANY FUCKING PLANT EVER! A bit grumpy, she went ahead and started looking - every tree earned a glance from the scarred girl as she made sure to stay close to Sheo. After a while, something stuck out - a plant almost frozen on the tree, as Sheo had described.
You think this is it?She questioned, gesturing toward it and her eyes searching for the male's odd coat pattern.

They looked around, and in time Astrid called out to him, before he had found any himself. Sheogorath turned towards her and glanced at the plant that she had found. It definitely looked like what he had intended, and he was fairly sure that it was poison ivy.
"Why don't you touch it to find out," he suggested teasingly, and waited. If she were to touch it with any place sensitive like nose or tongue, it should cause rash, itch and small blisters, depending on her sensitivity to it.

She glanced wearily at him as he made sure to not give anything away. Yes, she was willing to go the extra mile for the pleasure that came with pain - but this? How could she trust both this man, this plant - these woods as a whole? While certainly not the happiest teenager, Astrid was not about to potentially kill herself.
Why don't you?She questioned with raised eyebrows.

"Because I already know," he answered smoothly and quickly. He wasn't about to lose this waiting game, because if she was so eager to learn, maybe she should feel, first. And he had no urge to. Perhaps things'd been different had he been Cicero, who craved the pain more than almost anything else in the world. But Sheogorath, he did not care for it as much.
And so he added, "If you're chicken, we can always just not do it." He rolled his shoulders in a shrug, as if he didn't care, but the mad, amused glimmer in his eyes betrayed that he was just playing with her.

An annoyed facial expression was the only thing she carried as she stretched out a speckled paw. He hadn't specified with what she were to touch it, and perhaps if just a single nail hit the plant he would have to explain. Astrid had her ways of annoying the crap out of anyone that annoyed her, and again this proved to be true. With a blunt, black nail did she scratch the plant - quite uncomfortable so since it was a little higher than what she could easily reach.
As expected; pain was not about to follow and she smirked.
There - can you now explain?

She touched the plant with only a nail, avoiding the uncomfortable touch that it would surely lead. He had estimated her wrongly, he thought; he'd have thought her lust for the pain would outweigh her stubbornness and eagerness to be top dog.
But while she had won the argument — for he wasn't going to contest it — she had lost on a whole different scale. Sheogorath looked faux-disappointed and said, "Apparently it does nothing, then. What a shame, I must have been wrong." There was a glimmer in his eye that betrayed the lie in his words, one that dared her to admit she needed him — or he may never introduce her to the world of pain touching this to a fresh wound would give.

A long, irritated sigh escaped Nyx's mouth at the answer of Sheo. She didn't like that he was not straightforward with anything and kept trying to trick her. Well, perhaps "trick" wasn't the right word. He just really grinded her gears, like most wolves did, and Astrid did not appreciate any of it. She glared at him angrily.
That must be it.She agreed, knowing that he was just playing dumb.
I'm too old for these games, Sheo. She sighed after, removing her body from the tree to begin wandering again. She knew what the plant looked like now and did not want to embarrass herself in front of the male by touching the plant any more. She'd do that in her own time - not with some creep watching and judging her every move.
