It all happened rather fast, but Cicero did not hesitate to jump into the messy fight when Damien did launch forward. Doubtlessly Grimnir would attack back, and judging by his movements he was in a much better state than Cicero had gauged. And Cicero could not let anyone harm Damien.

Cicero launched forward moments after his brother, trying to go for Grimnir's neck; if not to kill him, then at least to pose enough of a threat to divert Grimnir's teeth from Damien.
