June was thinking about exploring and becoming an outrider. Being an outrider meant exploring and it meant going around and visiting other packs. Although father had said not to go far, The plateau wasn't all that far away and he had told her that there was a pack there. The plateau, and the bay. She had picked the plateau first - not entirely sure FitzDutiful knew that she was intending to visit when she had asked about nearby packs.
Upon arrival, she wasn't quite sure what to do. Was she supposed to sit and wait? Was she supposed to howl? Her howling wasn't very good yet, she had only done it once before in her life and it had barely been audible more than a few steps away.
Regardless, she tried now, the sound that made its way out was shaky; obviously untested and from a pup, it wasn't very strong. Still, she was pleased with her effort and she sat and waited - respecting the borders with distance as her father had schooled her.
