Ready or not

When the howl returned, June sat herself down and waited - happy that someone had heard her. Not too long after, a dark wolf headed towards her and she found her tail wagging. Her first pack wolf on the borders of another pack! It was terribly exciting and she found herself desperate to do well on her first outrider's mission.

As the brown wolf walked towards her, his scent came across on a sudden breeze and she identified him as a male causing a rush of emotions before she remembered that she had already committed herself to Alastor. No more boyfriends for her; still her eyes assessed him as he, confidently greeted her and asked what she wanted. She also got the name of his pack and was pleased to find herself in her desired location. Her tail wagged slowly.

"Hi" she said timidly, her voice the only thing that betrayed that shyness. His confidence was like a beacon, especially at an age similar to her own. "I from Silvertip Mountain." She paused after her sentence, for she still hadn't the knack of running more than once sentence together at a time. "Came say hi."

Still her tail wagged like the pendulum of a grandfather clock. Tick tock, tick tock.
