Dash didn't quite understand the conversation topic, especially since he'd never had anyone he cared about enough to wonder where they went after they died. He thought about his family, sure, but as the pack they were before the family disbanded- not as where they might be now. Dash was generally a mature wolf, but he had some pent up energy since he wasn't doing his usual traveling every day. He went down to his belly, bored with the conversation, then laid on his side.
